Dongyangdu town is named after Dongyang ferry. Yunji town of Hengnan County is bounded by Xianglei two rivers in the East and south, Xiangjiang township of Yanfeng District in the west, Linghu Township and Heping township of Zhuhui District in the north. The town government is located at No. 17, Xinjie, Dongyangdu Town, with the telephone area code of 0734 and the postal code of 421002, 12.2km away from the people's Government of Zhuhui district. The spring and Autumn period is under the jurisdiction of Chu, the Western Han Dynasty is under the jurisdiction of Ling County, the kingdom of Changsha, the Three Kingdoms, the two Jin Dynasties, the southern and Northern Dynasties is under the jurisdiction of Linji County, Xiangdong County, the Sui and Tang Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty is under the jurisdiction of Hengyang County, the Qing Dynasty Qianlong 21 years (1756) analysis of Hengzhou Prefecture, the southeast of Hengyang County set up Qingquan County, Dongyangdu jurisdiction is under the jurisdiction of Qingquan county. In the early days of liberation, part of the northern part of Dongyangdu town belonged to the eighth District of Hengyang City. The largest river in the territory is Xiangjiang River, which flows from Yunji town of Hengnan County, passing pingtian village, Xintian village, Xinglong Village, Yanjiang village, Gaoshan village, Litang village, Xintang village, Dongyang village, Taishan village and Renmin village. The drainage area is 23 square kilometers, with an average annual flow of 1528 cubic meters per second. The main natural disasters are drought, flood, low temperature, hail and so on.
