In the early years, the local and Miao people slashed and burned the land along the slope of the gully, which was commonly known as "she Dao Gou". Later, Youshui was transformed from a small gully into a big river, which was filled with sand and gravel. Then it became the main road leading to Hefeng and Longshan County in Hunan Province, and the name of yudaogou was also changed to shadaogou. According to county annals, shadaogou was set up as Xuanfu Department of Hunan town, Yuzhen was changed into yanbianxidong Xuanfu department at the end of Yuan Dynasty, Zhongdong pacification department was changed into Zhongdong pacification department at the end of Ming Dynasty, which was under the jurisdiction of Xuanen County in Qing Dynasty. After 1949, it belongs to shadaogou district (four districts). In 1955, the county was set up and shadaogou town was under its jurisdiction. In 1958, it was divided into three communes: Hongqi, Honghong and Gaozhao. In 1961, shadaogou district was restored. In 1975, the district was withdrawn and divided into three communes: Sha Dao, Sha Ping and long tan. In 1984, Shadao and Longtan communes were abolished and shadaogou district was established, with nine townships including Lianghe, Erping, Longtan, Huangnitang, Shangdong, Songping, Dangyang, Leping and Chayuan. In the second half of 1984, two townships of Shangdong and Songping were abolished and assigned to shadaogou town; shaping commune was abolished and shaping district was established, with six townships of liaoye, Yaopu, Guanzhuang, Jinpen, Caopu and Baishui. In December 1993, xueluozhai forest farm, medicine factory and xueluozhai village were designated as xueluozhai township (sub district level). In May 1995, the state government approved that Shadao District, shaping district and xueluozhai township should be transferred back to Fengxian County for custody. Shadaogou town covers an area of 73.7 square kilometers and has a population of 13000, of which 35% are Tujia, Miao and Dong. Pengjiazhai Diaojiaolou

Diaojiaolou used to be called Ganlan, Gelan, langlan, etc. Pengjiazhai, located in the north foot of Wuling Mountain, is located in the southwest of shadaogou Town, Xuanen County, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province. There are more than 250 people in 45 families of Tujia nationality. The surname Peng came from Hunan Province, where the Tujia people lived. It was the descendant of the Tusi of Yongshun and Baojing. Pengjiazhai has beautiful mountains and rivers, peculiar terrain, beautiful scenery and colorful scenery. There are 23 houses in the village. Each building has its own system, covering an area of more than 100 to hundreds of square meters. Generally, one bright room, two dark rooms and three bays are used as the main room, and the niche room is used as the wing room. Some rooms are surrounded by two niches to form a three-layer space.
