Shicang Township
Shicang township is subordinate to Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province. It is located in the northern mountain area of Xianyou County, bordering Youyang town in the East, Xiangxi and Xiyuan towns in the west, Zhongshan town in the South and Yongtai County in the north. In 2017, the administrative area of shicang township was 13837 hectares, with a permanent population of 3426.
It lies between 25 ° 27 ′~ 25 ° 35 ′ N and 118 ° 41 ′~ 118 ° 52 ′ E. Township government is located in shicang village Xiashe village, 450 meters above sea level. It is 15 kilometers away from Zhong Shan town, 43 kilometers away from Xianyou County town, and 23 kilometers from Yongtai Wutong town.
There are 10 administrative villages and 72 natural villages in the township.
Evolution of organizational system
Shicang has a long history. At the beginning of Tang Dynasty, Youyang town was set up, which was under its jurisdiction. In the second year of Tang Shengli (699), it was established in Qingyuan County. In 742, Qingyuan County was renamed Xianyou County, belonging to xingtaili of Xianyou County. Xinghua County was added in the fourth year of the Song Dynasty (979). Shicang area belongs to xingtaili (Jichuan, xiahu, Laoshan and Gaoyang) and fuxingli (Xiangxi and Zhongshan meiyang) of Yonggui township. In 1448, Xinghua County was abolished, and xingtaili, fuxingli and laisuli of Yonggui Township were returned to Xianyou County, which was called xingtaili. Shicang was under its jurisdiction. Shicang belonged to xingtaili from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. In the late Republic of China, it belonged to the fourth district (ancient city) and Xunyang township. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, shicang belonged to the ninth, tenth and fourteenth districts of Xianyou County. Shi Cang people's commune was established in December 1961. After the withdrawal of shicang District in 1964, shicang people's commune was established independently. In November 1984, it was renamed shicang township.

Among them, there are 38204 mu of Cunninghamia lanceolata, 195800 cubic meters of stock; 23495 mu of Masson pine, 98603 cubic meters of stock; 88869 mu of broad-leaved forest, 375000 cubic meters of stock; 19273 mu of Phyllostachys pubescens, 3158600 trees; and 5871 mu of economic forest. The forest coverage rate was 82.5%.

Shicangxiang is rich in mineral resources: Jichuan and Gaoyang villages have open-pit pyrophyllite with aluminum content up to 23%. In Jichuan, shicang, Shiyang and other five villages, there are high soil, pyrophyllite, diabase, granite, cinnabar soil and other types of mineral resources. It contains a lot of carbonite and diabase. The kaolin in Shiyang village is abundant and of good quality. It has been developed and produced ceramics. There are other high-quality rock resources, such as Hongshan rock in xiahu, granite in shiyangxidong and shicang.

In shicang Township, there are five geothermal springs (Hot Springs) in Caoxi Jinzhong. In 2008, five of them have been drilled, two of which are rare in Fujian Province. The annual water temperature is above 60 ℃, and the daily water inflow is more than 1500 cubic meters.
