Yesanguan town is the pilot town of comprehensive reform of small towns in Hubei Province, the land throat of Southwest China, the third batch of pilot towns of urban development and Reform in China, the pilot town of administrative system reform of economically developed towns in Hubei Province, the location of Badong economic development zone and the important material gathering place of Badong Jiangnan. The market town is 1100 meters above sea level and is located in the east gate of Enshi Prefecture. It is the traffic throat of Wuling from east to west. Shanghai Chongqing Expressway has service areas and entrances and exits in the town. Yiwan railway has a county-level railway station, which can reach Enshi and Yichang in one hour, and Wuhan and Chongqing in 3.5 hours. Yesanguan is an ancient town with a long history and culture. As early as the Qin and Han Dynasties, Ba people formed a stable activity area here. When Kou Zhun, the Prime Minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, was the magistrate of Badong County, he once advised the farmers to abandon hunting and cultivate here. During the great revolution, marshal he long led his troops through here twice to punish local tyrants and open warehouses to help the poor. After liberation, Hu Yaobang, Zhao Ziyang, Qiao Shi, Hu Jintao and other party and state leaders successively inspected Yesanguan to persuade people to work and do business. In 1992, Yesanguan was included in the series of famous villages and towns in China.
