Gaoguanzhuang town

Gaoguanzhuang town is a town under the jurisdiction of Zhuozhou City, Baoding City, Hebei Province. It is located 16.8 kilometers southeast of Zhuozhou City, adjacent to douzhuang Township in the north, Gu'an County across Baigou River in the East, Gaobeidian City in the South and lintun Township in Zhuozhou City in the West. The town has a total area of 42.59 square kilometers, 32 administrative villages and 23656 permanent residents (in 2017). Because the terrain is flat and the land is fertile, it is called "Youyan fertile soil" and "Dukang Gaoyu" in ancient times. The town government is located in gaoguanzhuang village.

Evolution of administrative districts

Gaoguanzhuang township was established in 1953, Xingfu commune was established in 1958, gaoguanzhuang commune was established in 1962, and the township was changed in 1984. The township was set up after the township was withdrawn.

Historical site

Gaoguanzhuang site is connected with gaoguanzhuang tombs in the East, located in the north of gaoguanzhuang town and gaoguanzhuang village. In June 1984, two complete implements were collected in beigaoguanzhuang village. One is a polished black pottery pot in the Warring States period, and the other is a gray pottery pot with a high handle covered with beans. The gaoguanzhuang site is an ancient site from Shang Dynasty to Warring States period.
