Longmen Township
Longmen Township, subordinate to Lingtai County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Lingtai County, connecting Chaona town in the East, Baili Township and Qianyang County in Shaanxi Province in the south, Chicheng town of Chongxin County in the west, Liangyuan Township in the north, qiuzigou River in the upper reaches of Daxi River and Siyu Valley in the upper reaches of Heihe River. The administrative area is 149.57 square kilometers.
Before 1949, it was Longmen township. After 1949, Longmen district was established. In 1958, Longmen commune was established; in October of the same year, it was incorporated into Chaona commune. In 1961, Longmen commune was restored. In 1983, the commune was changed into a township. At the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Longmen was 4123. As of June 2020, Longmen township has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, Longmen Township had a comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Longmen township is located in the west of Lingtai County, connecting Chaona town in the East, Baili Township and Qianyang County in Shaanxi Province in the south, Chicheng town in Chongxin County in the West and Liangyuan Township in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 13 kilometers, and the maximum distance between North and South is 12 kilometers. The administrative area is 149.57 square kilometers.

Longmen township is located in the upper reaches of Daxi River Valley mountain, high in the West and low in the East. Daxi river runs obliquely through the central and southern part of the country, and a tributary of qiuzigou flows into Daxi River from southwest to northeast. In the South and west of Daxi River, gullies crisscross and mountains rise and fall, with an average altitude of 1450 meters. The highest point is located in chongtian tableland of Wangjiashan village, with an altitude of 1480 meters.

Heavy rain accompanied by strong wind caused a large area dumping of corn and other economic crops, with a disaster area of 21424 mu, including 14700 mu of corn and 6724 mu of economic crops, resulting in a total economic loss of 22.465 million yuan. On May 12, 2008, the earthquake affected 441 households and 1820 people. 295 houses of 66 households collapsed and severely damaged due to the earthquake.
