Hexi Township
It is located in the east foot of Tanzi, Hanyuan County, Sichuan Province, on the West Bank of the middle reaches of Liusha River, 9 kilometers southeast of Hanyuan County. Its geographical location is 29 ° 25 ′ N and 120 ° 36 ′ E. It is adjacent to Daling Township in the north, Fuquan town in the south, Tangjia town across Liusha River in the East, fengle Township in Shimian County in the west, Tanzi mountain in the west, and Lixigou and youlukou gully across the township. It is a place where Han and Yi people live together. The township government is located in Xianglin temple, 865 meters above sea level.
Covering an area of 53.44 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 7 villager committees, 53 villager groups and 19 natural villages in Xianglin, Longtang, Shangli, Haizi, Yangshan, Zhuangzi and southwest China, with a total population of 15140 (2017).
Historical evolution
The township government is located in Leifeng village, formerly known as "xialeifengqi (leifengqi)", which is relative to "shangleifengqi (now Xinxing)". Modern development began with gold mining. Leifenggou is known as "hundred Li Jinchuan". In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of ningguta.

Hexi is high in the West and low in the East. It is inclined to Liushahe from Tanzi mountain. The altitude is between 865-1700m, with an altitude difference of more than 800m, forming different climatic product zones. Xianglin village is distributed along the quicksand Valley, while Longtang, Zhuangzi and Yangshan are distributed in the middle and high mountains. It has a cultivated area of 8094 mu, producing rice, wheat, corn, potato, and a variety of minor grains. In 2001, the total grain output was 4354 tons, and the per capita grain yield of farmers was 476 kg. Other agricultural products include walnuts, prickly ash, pears, oranges, tung oil trees and other kinds of vegetables, with an annual output of 1300 tons of vegetables and 1200 tons of fruits, and a diversified income of 14 million yuan.
Hexi is located at the end of Luding coalfield, with good anthracite quality, shallow storage and easy mining. It is the main production area of civil coal in the county, with 10 coal plants and 27 large and small wells. The annual average number of employees is about 1200, and the annual output of coal is 120000 tons. The territory contains pyrite, granite, gypsum and other minerals.
In 2018, the farmland and water conservancy facilities have been basically improved, and more than 15000 mu of agricultural and sideline products such as cherry, walnut, tea seedling, pepper, apple, etc. have been developed; Chinese herbal medicines such as Angelica sinensis have been planted in Shangli, Zhuangzi and other Alpine areas. Within the territory of convenient transportation, township and village roads have been basically hardened. Zhuangzi Village has a large number of karst cave communities (Meihua cave), rich in water resources and mineral resources. There are two brick factories. In group 7 of Xianglin community, there are Taichang cement plant, the largest enterprise in the county with an annual output of 1 million tons, Zhicheng coal mine with an annual output of 90000 tons, and the love hospital with an area of 2600 square meters in group 4 of Xianglin.

By the end of 2018, there were 4471 households with a total population of 15494. Among them, there are 8060 males and 7434 females, accounting for 52% and 48% of the total population respectively; there are 15150 agricultural population and 344 non-agricultural population, and the ethnic minorities include Yi, Zhuang, Li, Mongolia, man, Tujia, etc. Due to the construction of Baodian hydropower station, 281 households and 929 people were resettled, and 477 people were resettled.

There are mainly three resettlement sites in the township: Xianglin community resettlement site, which mainly resettle the immigrants from Baodian reservoir area; seven groups of resettlement sites in southwest, which mainly resettle the immigrants from Shunhe township; erdaoping resettlement site, which mainly resettle the immigrants from Wanli township. All the resettlement sites have been relocated, and the land adjustment and division work has been completed.
