Bailizhou town
Bailizhou Town, subordinate to Zhijiang City, Yichang City, Hubei Province, is located in the southeast of Zhijiang City. It is located in the first section of Jingjiang section in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and is the largest river center of Wanli Yangtze River. It is named Bailizhou because the dike around the river is 74 km long and more than 100 li.

Historical evolution
During the Taiyuan period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (376-396), Bailizhou suizhijiang county was subordinate to the South and ranked eighth. Due to the invasion of Fujian from the Qin Dynasty, Danyang belonged to Chu. The county government (Danyang City) was transferred to the head of Bailizhou (hejiawa).
During the northern and Southern Dynasties, Bailizhou was subordinate to Nanjun along with Zhijiang, and ranked second. The county government set up the head of Bailizhou (hejiawa).
In the Tang Dynasty, Bailizhou suizhijiang county was under the jurisdiction of Jiangling Prefecture, the South East Road, and the county government set up the head of Bailizhou (hejiawa).
During the Northern Song Dynasty, Bailizhou suizhijiang county was subordinate to Jiangling Prefecture, Hubei Province, ranking seventh.
In 1237, the first year of Jiaxi reign in the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhijiang county was located in Shoushu Yangzhou.
In 1946, there were gujiang Township and Yuxin Township in Bailizhou.
In July 1949, the whole territory of Zhijiang county was liberated, and there were two districts in Bailizhou. The former Yuxin township was changed into Liuxiang District, and the former Gujiang township was changed into Fengkou district.
In February 1955, Bailizhou was incorporated into Yidu County along with Zhijiang County, and the Bailizhou people's commune was established.
In May 1961, the people's commune of Bali was changed into the District of Bali.
On October 22, 1962, Zhijiang county was reestablished, belonging to Bailizhou district.
On October 5, 1987, Bailizhou district was changed into Liuxiang town and Fengkou town.
On December 12, 1990, Liuxiang town and Fengkou Township were abolished and Bailizhou township was merged.
On April 4, 1998, Bailizhou township was abolished and Bailizhou town was established.

Bailizhou town is one of the birthplaces of Chu culture. The tomb of King Huai of Chu is in Bailizhou. Ancient Danyang gathers in Bailizhou. Bailizhou has the ruins of the Fuqiao war between Wei and Wu of the Three Kingdoms. For thousands of years, there have been many poems praising Bailizhou. In the Qing Dynasty, Cao Yilu's Zhijiang Zhuzhici: "the edge of the dike is deep, the willows are around, and the scenery of Bailizhou is the most. The mountains and lakes are all around, and the king of Chu and Gengtai are high. " It is not difficult to see from the poem that the island is surrounded by water and dikes.
