Chengwei Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Boye County, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Boye County, 15.3km away from the county. It is adjacent to Nanzhuang Town of Li County in the East, Madian town and chengyouzi town of Anping County of Hengshui City in the West and south, and Nanxiaowang town in the northwest. The maximum distance between East and West is 13.5km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 10.5km, with a total area of 70.93km2. In late 2018, the total household population of Cheng Wei town registered residence was 45641.
In 1957, it belonged to dachengwei Township and dunjiazhuang township. In 1962, dachengwei commune was established. In 1983, dachengwei Township, zhuangketou Township and dutianzhuang Township were established. In 1990, dachengwei township was changed into a town. As of June 2020, Chengwei town has jurisdiction over 33 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in dachengwei village. The main cultural relics include the Xingguo Temple Pagoda in Jiecun, the site of huanjinjing and the stele inscription of huanjinjing.

In 1957, it belonged to dachengwei Township and dunjiazhuang township.
In 1958, it was transferred to Lixian County, a new people's commune; in October of the same year, it was transferred to Anguo, a new people's commune.
In 1962, the organizational system of Boye county was restored, and dachengwei commune, zhuangketou commune and dutianzhuang commune were set up in the area.
In 1983, dachengwei Township, zhuangketou Township and dutianzhuang Township were established.
