Shanpo street is located in Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Historical evolution
Shanpo, formerly known as shanpi, is said to have moved from Jishui County, Jiangxi Province before the Southern Song Dynasty. Six surnames, such as Jiang, Ma, Peng, Yan, Wang and Cheng, settled here and concentrated on the hilly land. Shanpi was named because of its uneven terrain. After the Guangdong Han railway was completed and opened to traffic in 1936, the station was set up here, and the geographical environment was changed from hillside to hillside, which is still in use today. In 1958, the people's commune was transformed into Dongfeng people's commune. In 1961, the district government system was restored as hillside district. Hillside street belongs to Jiangxia District. Jiangxia District is located in the south of Wuhan City, connected with Hongshan District in the north, Xian'an district and Jiayu County of Xianning City in the south, Ezhou City and Daye City in the East, Caidian District and Hannan District across the river in the West. The maximum horizontal distance from east to west is 54.2km, and the maximum vertical distance from north to south is 63.2km. In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty (201 BC), Jiangxia county was set up. Shaxian County was set up in the county, and Tukou (now Jinkou) was governed by the county. In 378 ad, it was renamed Runan County. In 589 ad, it was renamed Jiangxia county and moved to Ezhou City (now Wuchang District of Wuhan City). In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Jiangxia county was changed to Wuchang County, which was under the jurisdiction of Jianghan Road at the beginning. In 1930, it was subordinate to the first special office of Hubei Province. On June 10, 1949, the people's democratic government of Wuchang county was established in Wuchang, which is subordinate to Daye Special office. In January 1952, Daye Special Office was abolished and Wuchang county was changed to Xiaogan special office. In January 1960, the Xiaogan special office was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of Wuhan city. In 1960, the county government moved to Zhifang town. Geology and geomorphology
Hillside street belongs to Jiangxia District, which belongs to the transition section from Jianghan plain to hills in southern Hubei. The topographical characteristics of the area are high in the middle, close to the Yangtze River in the West and gently inclined to the lake area in the East. The hilly terrain is mainly distributed in the northern part of the region, which is East-West zonal, and is horizontally carved in the network plain and alluvial plain. In the East and West, there are flat sources of lakeside, with a ground elevation of about 2-40 meters. In the middle and North, there are hills with an altitude of about 150 meters. There are 118 large and small mountains in the area, of which 52 are above 100 meters above sea level, and Bafen mountain is 272.3 meters above sea level, which is the highest point in the area.
