Shuitun town

Shuitun Town, located in Yicheng District of Zhumadian City, Henan Province, is located in Huaibei plain, adjacent to Suya Lake, the largest artificial plain lake in China in the East, and Zhumadian City in the West. The total area of Shuitun town is 95.23 square kilometers (2017), with 94000 mu of cultivated land and 35000 mu of Lake wasteland. It has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages with a total population of 73591 (2017). In 1998, the total output value of industry and agriculture in Zhumadian was 440 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1970 yuan. Zhumadian is a "pilot town for reform, development and construction", "strong town for township enterprises" and "science and technology demonstration town in Henan Province".

On December 24, 2019, it will be included in the list of national rural governance demonstration towns. On June 20, 2020, it was named the first batch of "beautiful towns" in Henan Province. Shuitun town was set up in 1949, commune in 1958 and township in 1983. In 1997, it is located in the west of Runan County, on the West Bank of suyahu reservoir, 20 kilometers away from the county, with an area of 105 square kilometers and a population of 63000.
