Kuishan Town, belonging to Linkou County, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the southeast of Linkou County, bordering Mashan District of Jixi City in the East, Hexi Town of Muling City in the south, Linkou town in the West and Qingshan town in the north. The town government is located in the east section of central street. The area is 325 square kilometers.

Historical evolution
There are three natural boulders on the north mountain of Kuishan village in Kuishan Town, which are in the shape of "big". There is sand between the boulders and under the boulders. People put forward the word "Kuishan" and called it "Kuishan", which was later borrowed as the name of the village.
In 1912, it belonged to Muling county and Boli County.
In 1939, it was assigned to Linkou county.
In 1946, it was assigned to the third autonomous region of Wulin county.
In 1947, it was divided into three districts of Linkou county.
In 1949, it was renamed Kuishan district.
In April 1956, it was changed to Kuishan township.
In 1958, the township changed into a commune.
