The origin of place names
The origin of the place name of HUAIFANG is directly related to the immigration of the Hui nationality in Hongdong and the abandonment of the ancient Xiangcheng County in the early Ming Dynasty. As early as the Yuan Dynasty, there were Muslims living here. In 1234, Emperor Taizong wokuotai of the Yuan Dynasty and the United forces of the Song Dynasty destroyed the Jin Dynasty, and ordered Lufu Prefecture and county to set up daluhuachi to garrison the Central Plains with the Red Army of horses. The Red Army of horses led by Persian Muhammad Ali was drafted and stationed in Huaiyang, Shenqiu (Xiangcheng) and yutongcheng. Among them, four battalions were stationed in Xiangcheng (today's Huaidian Hui town), and a four edge well was dug in the middle of the four battalions for Muslim officers and soldiers to drink and bathe. The ancient well is still well preserved. These Persians can be called the early ancestors of the Hui people in Shenqiu. As for the Hui people living in Shenqiu in the Yuan Dynasty, some people criticize it and think that there is no history to check. In fact, the early Hui people entered the Central Plains with the Mongolian army, "new yuan history" 220: "Chahan Timur, great ancestor Kuo Kuo Tai, Zu Nai man Tai, father aluwen, Sui family in Henan, is a member of the Yingzhou Shenqiu people." Chahan Timur is a member of the Mongolian royal family in Beiting. However, it is noted in Cihai that Chahan Timur was a man who was afraid of my son, and "he was named Tingrui. When his great grandfather came to Henan with the army from Mongolia, he lived in Shenqiu.". The above records roughly coincide with the time when Muhammad Ali led his troops to settle in Shenqiu. Chahan Timur mansion is located in the town of Linquan County, Anhui Province, which belonged to Shenqiu in the Yuan Dynasty and was called Yangcheng at that time. Probably because the back of the city belongs to Anhui Province, some people deny that there are Hui people living in Shenqiu in the Yuan Dynasty. Today's cities and towns are also places where Hui people live together, and they have a clan relationship with the Hui people in Shenqiu. Although they live in the two provinces, they have close contacts. In the third year of Xuande (1428) of Xuanzong of Ming Dynasty, moling Town, as the seat of Xiangcheng County, was flooded by yellow water, and the people's houses were almost exhausted. The County Office of Xiangcheng County was moved to the former moling town of Nantong county (now moling town), and the new town was rebuilt according to the original urban pattern, which is still called moling town. However, the old city is reduced to ruins, with a large number of people, but the old city is lost. In the sixth year of Zhengtong of Ming Dynasty (1441), Muslim refugees from sangjiapo, Huaiqing Prefecture in the north of Yellow River lived here. They were originally Hui people in Zaolinzhuang, Northwest China. During the Hongwu and Yongle years of Ming Dynasty, they were constantly gathered by the government under the big locust trees in Guangji temple outside the South Gate of Hongdong County, which covered several acres of trees. They were sent to Mengzhou, Huaiqing Prefecture in the north of Henan Province by "relying on Sichuan capital". This big locust tree became the previous immigrants It's a historical witness of China. Because of the famine, the immigrants fled to the south again. They found that there were Muslims living here and an ancient Muslim temple in Zhiyuan Dynasty. They lived around the temple. Because they came from the "immigrants under the big locust tree" and lived in Jiaofang (formerly called Jiaofang in the mosque), they called this place "HUAIFANG", which means the descendants of the immigrants living in Jiaofang district.
History of construction
Geographically, HUAIFANG is located at the intersection of the Cai River and the middle reaches of the Shaying River, which is convenient for business contacts. In addition, the Hui people have the habit of doing business. For a time, the merchants gathered here, the shops were numerous, and the water transportation was prosperous. It gradually restored the prosperity of ancient Xiang and became an important business town in Eastern Henan and Northern Anhui. In the 26th year of Daoguang reign of Qing Dynasty (1846), the county yamen was established in HUAIFANG, and the santing system was set up. HUAIFANG hall was set up (at the same level as the county). It was analyzed that the area within ten li around HUAIFANG was originally under the jurisdiction of Shenqiu, Xiangcheng and Huaiyang, and was incorporated into the santing territory. After the founding of the Republic of China, the departments were abandoned and the regions were returned to the three counties. In 1928, a special administrative region was set up in the former huaifangting area, namely a provincial special town, and a public security bureau was established. The public security bureau is directly under the Security Department of Henan Province and has three sub bureaus. The first sub bureau manages Xiangcheng District, the second sub bureau manages Huaiyang district and the third sub bureau manages Shenqiu district. In 1939, the Public Security Bureau was changed into a police station. In February 1943, the office of the seventh district commissioner of Henan Province moved from moling town to HUAIFANG, and moved to Huaiyang in early October. In February 1947, the town was established as Jieshou county. In May 1948, Henan Anhui Soviet administrative office built Huaidian city here. In March 1949, the city was withdrawn and the Fifth District of Shenqiu County was established. In October 1950, the people's Government of Shenqiu County moved from Chengguan town to Huaidian, and incorporated the original Xiangcheng, Huaiyang and Shen border areas, enclaves and flower arrangement areas into the territory of Shenqiu County. In March 1951, Huaidian ethnic town (including Huaidian Hui Autonomous Region and hailou Hui Township) was established. After 1958, Huaidian town and Huaidian people's commune were established. Huaidian people's commune was renamed Beijiao Township in 1980. In April 1983, Huaidian town was rebuilt into Huaidian Hui town, which is now the county seat of Shenqiu County.
Economic situation
The town's economic development momentum is good. Through the restructuring of 12 collective enterprises, the enterprises are full of vitality. In 2001, the output value of township enterprises was 380 million yuan, the sales revenue was 370 million yuan, and the tax revenue was 15.51 million yuan. Through policy guidance, demonstration, positive support and full protection, the private economy has been promoted to expand its size, upgrade its quality and efficiency, and a good pattern of coexistence of various economic systems has been initially formed, including halal food processing, cattle and sheep leather processing, mining accessories, knitted underwear processing, net industry, transportation and other industries. In 2001, there were 3896 individual industrial and commercial households, more than 1700 private enterprises and nearly 100 large-scale enterprises in the town, with more than 10000 employees. The output value of individual and private economy accounted for more than 60% of the output value of township enterprises in the town. The scale of characteristic agriculture has initially formed a specialized area for the growth of flower and tree greenhouse vegetables with fengchanhe and Gaoying as the center, covering an area of more than 600 mu; a specialized breeding area with xiaowanglou and Malou as the center, with 140000 laying hens; a specialized cattle and sheep breeding area with Malou and hailou as the center, with more than 8000 Huai goats. In 2001, the per capita net income of farmers was 2233 yuan, the urban functions were improving day by day, the post and telecommunications and communication facilities were complete, and the distribution of business and trade outlets and cultural and entertainment places was reasonable. The hardening rate of small streets and roads is more than 95%, the water supply rate of residents is more than 80%, there are more than 50 buildings with more than four floors, 2 large substations, and the capacity of program-controlled telephone has been expanded to more than 10000 doors
