Gaoliangdian township is located in the northwest of Xinyang City, Henan Province, 52 kilometers away from the seat of Pingqiao District Government of Xinyang City. It borders pingchangguan town in the East, wujiadian Township in the south, Xiaolin town in Suizhou, Hubei Province in the west, Huaihe River in the north and Wanggang Township in the north. It is 16 kilometers long from north to South and 12.9 kilometers wide from east to west.

The government is located at Lianhuatang center, Nantou, Dianxiang street, Gaoliang, at 32 degrees and 22 minutes north latitude and 113 degrees and 46 minutes east longitude. The area of cultivated land is 215000 mu, the area of mountain forest is 87500 mu, and the area of water conservancy is 6396 mu. The terrain is high in the middle and slightly low in the four sides. The hills are overlapped and undulating, crisscrossed. The Huaihe River passes through the north foot of dapoling, Litian village, from huaruidian to Wanggang Township, and flows eastward into Pingchang pass, and straight down out of Shandian.

economic construction
Gaoliangdian township is a typical agricultural hilly and mountainous Township, mainly producing rice, wheat, soybean, peanut, barley, pea, mung bean, sesame, cotton, rape, corn, sweet potato and other crops. In 2006, the gross social product of the township was 125.1 million yuan, the fiscal revenue was 507000 yuan, and the per capita net income was 3478 yuan.
Forestry production
In 2007, the mountain forest area of the township reached 90100 mu, and the forest coverage rate reached 53.46%. It is one of the top 100 forestry townships in the province. In 2003, it was named as "ecological demonstration township" by the municipal government, in which the economic forest area developed to 13000 mu, and 350 mu of 100 orchards were newly built in 2007. There are 149 large forest and fruit enterprises in gaolei County, with an annual output value of 9.8 million yuan, which has become a major pillar industry. animal husbandry: the township veterinary station has implemented the contract of livestock and poultry epidemic prevention, which further stimulated the enthusiasm of the people. Water conservancy construction
The township has a first-class reservoir, two small second-class reservoirs, 1280 ponds, 6396 mu of water. From 2001 to 2007, individuals invested more than 2 million yuan to build 52 wanfangdatang, renovate 212 wanfangdatang, and expand the irrigation area of more than 9000 mu. The total water storage is 79.2 million cubic meters. There are 5 large-scale electric irrigation stations with an irrigated area of 5600 mu. Aquaculture has become an important part of the aquaculture industry and a new economic growth point of the township.
Market town development
In 1991, it invested 300000 yuan to build a water tower, drilled a well, and the water supply pipeline was 2800 meters long, with 320 users. In 1996, it invested 700000 yuan to harden Gaoliangdian street, which is 12 meters wide and 1560 meters long. In 1999, an investment of 150000 yuan was made to dig a new well, which ensured that more than 7000 people in Gaoliangdian's streets, organs, departments, schools and residents were able to drink and use water. From 1998 to 1999, Shangmao street and Lianhua Street (food) were developed. In 2005, a newly developed food street of 700 meters was under construction. At the same time, shentaiping new street and caiwan market town were also developed, with a total investment of 25 million yuan. All the new streets are equipped with road, water, electricity, sanitation, greening and other facilities with complete functions. In 2006, 100000 yuan was raised for comprehensive renovation of Gaoliangdian street, including installation of 60 street lamps, construction of 8 new garbage pools and construction of 2600m drainage ditches. In the first half of 2007, it invested 400000 yuan to implement the overall promotion project of poverty alleviation and development in shentaiyang village, and introduced more than 10 million yuan of foreign capital to develop a new business street where the township government is located. On both sides of the street, there are many high-rise buildings, businesses and stalls, which greatly promote the development of the construction and building materials industry.
road construction
From 1996 to 1997, the state invested 600000 yuan, and the township invested more than 900000 yuan to build a 6-meter-wide and 15 li oil road from shunhedian to Gaoliangdian. In 1999, the township government invested 200000 yuan to build a new road class and set up a special maintenance team. The road has been well maintained. From 2000 to 2001, the state invested more than 600000 yuan, and the township invested 550000 yuan to build a 5.5-meter-wide and 13 mile long oil road from Gaoliangdian to shenyangtai. From 2004 to 2005, we won the project funds to build five "village to village" highways: Baochong Village Department - Ligang, Wangyin line - Yuwan, Gaoliangdian - Litian, X038 - Huangzhai, Gaowan - caiwan. In 2006, the village to village project with a total mileage of 18.587 km was successfully completed. Posts and Telecommunications
Posts and telecommunications have made great progress. In 1996, a six three story post and telecommunications building was built. In August 1996, 120 program-controlled telephones were opened, and by 2006, 3500 were opened in the township, with an average of two farmers owning one telephone. In 2006, a new mobile base station was built in Yuwan village and has been put into operation.
Electric power industry
From 1996 to the first half of 2007, the rural power network transformation of the whole township has been completed. The state has invested 5 million yuan, and farmers' lighting users have invested 678000 yuan in the next line, 29.45 km of high-voltage lines and 160 km of low-voltage lines have been reconstructed, 64 transformers have been reconstructed, 16 new transformers have been added, and more than 2000 new users have been added.
