Xilingsi town is located in the west of Sui County, 15 kilometers away from the county in the East, 8 kilometers away from xingkou town in Kaifeng City and Qi County in the West. G343 national highway and Makai provincial highway pass through the territory, so the traffic is very convenient. With a total area of 68.3 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 31 administrative villages and 72 natural villages, with a total population of 53000 people and a cultivated area of 68000 mu. General situation of villages and towns

Xiling temple town has a long history and culture. During the Five Dynasties, Liu Zhiyuan, the emperor of the later Han Dynasty, was buried here after his death. "East Mausoleum and West mausoleum, thirty miles west of the state, two mausoleums confront each other" (Qing Guangxu's continuation of Suizhou annals, construction and Mausoleum). Xiling temple town has a long history and glorious revolutionary tradition. In 1958, Han tombs and a number of ancient relics were excavated in Nandagang, Xiling. In March 1927, the Sui County Committee of the Communist Party of China was born in Xiling town. The party organization of Sui county established the first peasant association in Xiling town.

Xilingsi town has beautiful ecology and rich resources. The whole area is flat, slightly low in the South and high in the north. From north to South China Sea, it is between 57.8m and 56.3m. Historical evolution

In 2005, Yuxiang Township and Xiling town were abolished, and Xiling temple town was newly established, which governed the administrative areas of former Yuxiang Township and Xiling town. The town government was stationed in Xiling temple village, where the former Xiling town government was stationed.
