Xiakou town

Xiakou Town, subordinate to Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Pingshan County, adjacent to Beiye Township in the southeast, Yuxian County, Yangquan City, Shanxi Province in the west, and yangjiaqiao Township in the north, with an administrative area of 120.75 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xikou town was 8994.

In 1949, Xiakou town belonged to Beiye District of Jianping County; in May 2002, Xiakou township was replaced by Xiakou town. As of June 2020, Xiakou town has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Xiakou village.

In 2011, the gross output value of Xiakou town was 280 million yuan, the investment in fixed assets was 35 million yuan, and the fiscal revenue was 8.26 million yuan, including 5.8 million yuan of national tax and 2.46 million yuan of local tax. In 2018, there were 7 industrial enterprises in Xiakou town and 1 comprehensive store or supermarket with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1949, Xiakou town belonged to Beiye District of Jianping County.

In 1953, Xiakou township was established.

In September 1958, Xiakou commune was established, belonging to Pingshan County.

In 1986, it was changed to Xiakou township.

In May 2002, Xiakou township was replaced by Xiakou town.
