Huangling town

Huangling town is subordinate to Fengqiu County, Xinxiang City, Henan Province. It borders on Nianli town and Weizhuang town of Changyuan County in the northeast, Yingang town in the East, Lizhuang town in the south, Pandian town in the West and Liuguang town in the north. The area is 53.13 square kilometers. As of July 2019, the population of Huangling town is more than 41000.

In 1947, the people's Government of Quhe county was established, and Huangling belonged to Quhe county. In 1949, Qu and Feng counties merged and belonged to the eighth District of Fengqiu County. In 1958, Huangling people's commune was established. In 1983, it was changed to Huangling township. In 1992, the township was removed and the town was built.

The main agricultural products in Huangling town are wheat, soybean, peanut, sweet potato, etc. Huangling town focuses on the development of sanitation lifting industry. As of July 2019, Huangling town has built four lifting industry enterprises, and the living income of residents has increased significantly.

Historical evolution

Huangling was recorded as early as Xia and Shang Dynasties. In the 16th century B.C., the first battle in the history of Chinese war, that is, the "mingtiao battle" site of Tang Feixia, is located in the present Huangling town. Pingjie village, Huangling Town, is the Fuyi of Wei in the spring and Autumn period, which is called Pingqiu. It was named after the twelve princes who participated in the military meeting here in 529 BC. In 1947, the people's Government of Quhe county was established, and Huangling belonged to Quhe county. In 1949, Qu county and Feng county merged and belonged to the eighth District of Fengqiu County. In 1958, Huangling people's commune was established. In 1983, it was changed to Huangling township. Huangling town is located in the South East of Fengqiu County. The town government is located in Huangling village, 23 kilometers away from the county.
