Yifeng Township
Yifeng town has a long history, which evolved from the combination of Yifeng county and kaocheng County in the early days of the people's Republic of China. Located 12 kilometers east of Lankao County, the cultivated land area is nearly 100000 mu. Yifeng township is a big agricultural township. The main food crops are wheat, soybean and corn. The area of wheat is about 50000 mu, and the annual output of high-quality wheat is 12400 tons. It is a famous commodity grain base; The main cash crops are apple, cotton and peanut. The cotton area is nearly 30000 mu, mainly distributed in the southwest of Yifeng township. The soil is alkaline, suitable for planting cotton. The annual output of high-quality lint is 2 million kg, and 20000 mu of peanut is mainly distributed in the middle and Southeast. Yifeng Apple has been planted for nearly 40 years, covering an area of 40000 mu. It is the largest apple production base in Lankao County, with a complete range of late maturing varieties. Three mushroom demonstration bases, Gangtou, Caigang and Mengzhai, have been built in Yifeng township. 150000 bags of Lentinus edodes have been planted, and 300 mushroom greenhouses have been built, with a total input of more than 300 tons. The raw materials for cultivating Lentinus edodes here are cheap. It is rich and has great potential to grow mushroom. As the horticultural farm and papermaking forest farm are located in Yifeng Township, together with the old Yellow River, the soil is Sandy and the water and grass resources are rich, which creates a favorable environment for the development of animal husbandry in the township.
