Dongcun street is located in the west of Haiyang City, 121 ° 04 ′ E and 36 ° 43 ′ n. In the 13th year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty (1735), Wei county was set up and then it belonged to Songshan township. In 1928, the township was divided into districts, belonging to the first district of Haiyang county. After liberation in 1942, Dongcun was a county town. In 1944, the town was changed into district (District 13). Dongcun commune was established in September 1958. It was divided into districts in 1965 and renamed commune in 1976. In December 1981, it was renamed Dongcun town. In May 1984, Dongcun town was divided into Dongcun town and nanchengyang township. In October 1995, nanchengyang township was abolished and merged into Dongcun Town, with an area of 217 square kilometers and a population of 110000. It has jurisdiction over Chengbei, democracy, solidarity, production, Xinxing, yaoshangtuan, Heping, Yuanxi, nancaiyuan, beicaiyuan, nannijia, Zhaike, jiangjiatuan, beinijia, shoxigou, beibalizhuang, houtangjia, liushuzhuang, xibalizhuang, Lijia village, houxinzhi and dibeitou 74 administrative villages, including wujianwu, Shijian, Likou, Checun, Lijiazhuang, dongzheyang, xizheyang, qiulintou, xishilangou, Dongshilangou, Shaojia, Haodi, beichengyang, gouyujia, zhaizitou, tashanpo, longtangbu, nanxiujia, nanchengyang and beishihe. In December 2000, with the approval of Shandong provincial government, Dongcun town was abolished and two streets, Dongcun and Fangyuan, were set up. 37 villages, including yanjiazhuang, were put under the jurisdiction of Dongcun street, and the office was located at 31 Haiyang Road.
