Laoshawan town
Laoshawan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Shawan City, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the north of Shawan city. It is adjacent to merchant Di Township in the East, improved seed farm and 144 regiment in the south, sidaohezi town in the west, and Manas County across Gurbantonggut desert in the North. The total administrative area is 539.73 square kilometers.
In 1929, Shawan municipal government moved from Xiaoguai to Shawan street, and in April 1995, the township was removed to build laoshawan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Lao Sha Wan Town was 13998. In 2019, laoshawan town governs 37 administrative villages.
The main food crops in laoshawan town are wheat and corn; the main animal husbandry is cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. In 2018, there were nine industrial enterprises in laoshawan Town, including one above scale and 18 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In 1929, Shawan municipal government moved from Xiaoguai to Shawan street.
In 1950, it was the first district (Shawan District).

In 1984, it was changed to laoshawan township.
