Stone fish town

Shiyu Town, subordinate to Tongliang District of Chongqing, is located in the south of Tongliang District, adjacent to Qinglong Town and Hufeng town in the East, Fuguo town in the south, Tuqiao town in the west, Nancheng street in the north, 8 km away from the people's Government of Tongliang District, with a total area of 31.77 square kilometers.

In 1721, in the 60th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, a stone fish farm was set up in Shiyu town. In January 1994, Shiyu town was built by merging Shiyu Township and Anping township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Shi Yu town was 20019. As of June 2020, Shiyu town has one community and eight administrative villages, and the people's Government of Shiyu town is located at No. 1, Hongxin street, Yuxing community.

History of construction

In the 60th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1721), a quarry was set up in the territory of Shiyu town.

After December 1949, Shiyu Township and Taiping Township were built; Shiyu township was subordinate to the first district, and Taiping Township was subordinate to the Fifth District.

In September 1958, it was changed into stone fish commune and Taiping commune.

In 1983, Shiyu commune and Taiping commune were changed into Shiyu Township and Anping township.

In January 1994, Shiyu Township and Anping Township merged to build Shiyu town.
