Dazeshan town
Dazeshan Town, belonging to Pingdu City, Shandong Province, is located in the north of Pingdu City, with a horizontal distance of 15 km from east to west and a vertical distance of 8 km from south to north. The total area is 150.58 square kilometers, the cultivated area is 830 hectares, and the annual total population is 60236 (2017). In November 1985, Dazeshan township was changed into Dazeshan town. In January 1995, 10 villages in the former Qingyang Township were assigned to Dazeshan Town, with a total of 34 administrative villages (39 natural villages). On December 12, 2012, Dazeshan town and Changle Town were abolished, and a new Dazeshan town was set up in the administrative region of Dazeshan town and Changle Town. The town government was stationed in the former Dazeshan town. Since then, the administrative area of Dazeshan town has expanded again.
Historical evolution
Dazeshan town is named for its main peak (Ruiyun peak) and main peaks. Daze mountain is also called jiuqingshan and juqingshan. There is a record in Tongzhi of Shandong that "the mountains ring the spring and converge to daze, hence the name". It belonged to Donglai County in the Qin and Han Dynasties, Laizhou in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Pingdu Prefecture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the Fourth District of Pingdu County in the early Republic of China. In 1940, the Anti Japanese democratic government was established as the Fourth District of Pingdu County. In 1942, it was renamed Tianzhu district. In 1958, it was withdrawn and merged into Dazeshan Township, Tianzhu Township and Qingyang township. In the same year, Dazeshan commune was established. In 1984, it was renamed Dazeshan township. In 1985, Dazeshan township was established Zeshan town.
In 2012, according to the requirements of the reply of Qingdao Municipal People's Government on the adjustment of some administrative divisions of Pingdu City (Qingzheng Zi [2012] No. 105), Pingdu City decided to adjust the administrative divisions of Dazeshan Town, cancel the original Dazeshan town and Changle Town, and establish a new Dazeshan town with the original Dazeshan town and Changle Town. The town government is located in the former Dazeshan town government.

Dazeshan town is rich in stone resources, which can be used for mining and deep processing of stone storage capacity of 440 million cubic meters. It is characterized by high grade, shallow covering, massive shape, easy mining, hard and brittle, weathering resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and easy shaping. It is divided into granite and marble ore series. Granite series are mainly cherry blossom red, zeshanhua, zeshanqing, zhimabai and Huanghuagang, marble series are snowflake white, dolomite, and fluorspar (also known as Yingshi), diopside and so on are also valuable for mining.
In the autumn of 1978, its cherry blossom red, zeshanqing and snowflake white stones have entered the international market. Since 1990, it has entered the peak period of mining and deep processing. By the end of 2004, there are 324 stone mining and processing industries in the town, including 16 foreign-funded enterprises. Dazeshan Stone Industrial Park with an area of 4 square kilometers and a stone processing corridor with a length of 15 kilometers have been built. It has formed an industrial army with more than 100 mining sites, more than 300 processing plants and more than 300 specialized stone transportation and marketing households. Historical sites
Dazeshan town has a long history. The Longshan cultural site discovered after Wujia village and the chenghuangya Shang and Zhou cultural site in the east of Jiuyuan village are the settlements of the ancestors.
Dongyue stone site
In November 1959, when the local people were building Ziyang reservoir, they found a new ancient cultural site in the southeast of dongyueshi village. In 1960, the Shandong archaeological team of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences excavated a large number of stone tools, pottery, bone ware and clam ware. The second excavation was carried out in October 1993, covering an area of 300 square meters. More than 450 pieces of pottery, bone ware and stone tools were unearthed. The age of the site is Xia and Shang Dynasties. Because this kind of cultural remains was first found in dongyueshi, it was named "Yueshi culture". In the 1980s, it was officially identified as the type of ancient culture after Dawenkou Culture and Longshan culture. Dongyueshi site is the birthplace of Yueshi culture. In 1992, Dongyue stone site was announced as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit by Shandong provincial government; in June 2006, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
Laishan site
There is a beacon tower in the spring and Autumn Period in Houziling on the west side of Laishan mountain. On the west side of the beacon tower is an ancient post road that began in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The remains are still intact. To the east of Laishan mountain, there are 0.8 square kilometers of ancient battlefield sites in the Warring States period. To the north of Dongyue stone site, there are more than 20 tombs of nobles in the Warring States period. Dazeshan, the sun of ruiyunfeng, is an ancient imperial city. According to Pingdu County annals, "there are many stone mortars in the mountains. There is an ancient site of Shicheng, which was built by people to avoid soldiers in the past." it is the headquarters of a red eyebrow army in the late Western Han Dynasty. There is also a record in Tongzhi of Shandong that "the red eyebrow army guards the Imperial City, but the Han soldiers can't attack it for a long time".
