Urban construction

In 1998, the town was listed as one of the seven key small towns in the whole district by Huangdao District Committee and district government. In 1999, the town auctioned the gold sections on both sides of Fengtai Road, the landlord street, and rebuilt the 7000 square meters old houses. 35 commercial and residential buildings on the second floor were built, and the resident appearance of the town was significantly improved. Meanwhile, the investment was increased, infrastructure supporting construction was well done, and the town invested 5million yuan, which opened 2 streets with a total length of 3km in the residential planning area, and unified high standard greening, beautification and lighting of the town's local streets, laying 3000 square meters of color pavement, beautifying the town's Central River. In 2004, the overall planning of Liuwang town completed by Shandong Provincial Planning and Design Institute passed the expert review and obtained the approval of Huangdao District government. The new planning control area reached 4 square kilometers. In 2004, the water supply project of xiaheshan was completed, with one new barrage, one irrigation water lifting station, five machine rooms, one big mouth well, one seepage channel, two high-level water pools and 3.5km water pipe laying, which effectively improved the water conditions of the town. With the historical development opportunities of Huangdao District, Liuwang town has made high starting point planning, high standard construction and high-level development, striving to build the traditional western agricultural town into the most distinctive "urban agricultural town, new small town, leisure tourism town and beautiful and happy town" in Huangdao District.

Liuwang town is located in the northwest of Huangdao District, Qingdao City, and is adjacent to Tieshan Street Office of Huangdao District in the East, by cities in the west, and by the village town of Huangdao District in the south, and Jiaohe economic zone of Huangdao District in the north, Licha town and Puji Town, Jiaozhou City, Qingdao. In 1958, Jiaohe county was cancelled, and zone 2 was divided into Jiaonan County, renamed District 14 and district 15. In 1958, the township of Baixiang and Liuwang were established, and the pioneer commune was established in September 2 of the same year, and then changed to Liuwang commune. In 1976, 31 villages and 32 production teams were divided from Liuwang commune, and the commune was established. In 1984, it was changed to Liuwang town and Baixiang township. In 1987, Bai township was renamed Jiaohe Township, and Jiaohe town was changed to Jiaohe town in 1995. The two longitudinal hills divide the whole territory into three parts: East, middle and West, with flat middle, hills in the East and West, and mountainous areas in the south. There are three tributaries of Jiaohe River in the river system in the season, which originate from Gaocheng Danan, wangdangshan and Lushan respectively. They are connected to Jiaohe River in the west of the town and then into Jiaozhou City through Jiaohe Economic Zone in the north. There are two tributaries of the upper reaches of the Baima River in the territory, where the source of the Baima River flows through the Cao Jia Gou, Hua Gou and Li Jia Qian Kuang, and enters the territory of the great villages in the south. Liuwang town is continental climate, with an annual average temperature of 13 ℃, average temperature in January of -2.6 ℃ and average temperature in August of 26 ℃. The frost free period of the whole year is 200 days, with an average annual precipitation of 750 mm. The town is a hail prone area in Huangdao District. On September 6th, 1988, the late heavy hail attack lasted 34 minutes. The maximum diameter of hail was 10 cm, and the thickness of hailstone in the ground area reached 30cm. Most crops were out of production in the autumn of that year. Liuhanggou and fajiazhuang are famous tuyeres in Huangdao District. Some villages are affected by mountainous areas, and dry hot air occurs 20 days earlier than other towns.

Economic overview

In recent years, Liuwang town has been focusing on the center of economic construction, highlighting three major economic work points, namely investment promotion, resident economy and agricultural construction, and the whole town has achieved healthy and rapid economic development. After the adjustment of the internal structure of agriculture in recent years, the leading industries such as yellow tobacco, animal husbandry and forestry have been gradually formed. The first phase of Liuwang community, which covers an area of 1000 mu, is completed in 2014. All the projects are completed and moved in by 2019.
