Summer town
Shuxia Town, subordinate to Qingyuan District, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the middle of Qingyuan District, known as Xiangcheng in ancient times, at the intersection of Longjiang River and Fushui River, a tributary of Ganjiang River. The area is 49 square kilometers, and the registered residence is about 33 thousand and 300 people (2018). It has 1 residential committees and 15 Village Committees (2019).
In 2018, there were 13 industrial enterprises and 22 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
The town has a history of more than 1700 years. It was named Xiangcheng in Yong'an period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It was renamed as the town of value Xia when it opened in the Southern Song Dynasty.
From the opening of the Eastern Jin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, it was subordinate to Luling county.
The Republic of China is the 74 capitals of Chunhua township.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, 11 districts of Ji'an City were set up, with jurisdiction over 10 townships, namely, Shuxia, Baisha, Duobao, Wande, Pitou, Jifu, Wenchang, Yangmei and Xinwei.
In April 1959, the Shouxia people's commune was established.
In April 1984, the government and society were separated and changed to Shuxia township.
In May 1985, it was changed into an established town and set up as Xiazhen.
In January 2001, Shuxia town was transferred from Ji'an County to Qingyuan District of Ji'an city.

Location context
With an area of 49 square kilometers, Shuxia town is located in the middle of Qingyuan District of Ji'an City, 21 kilometers away from the downtown area of Ji'an, and at the junction of Jishui, Ji'an and Taihe. It is the agricultural products distribution center and trade center of three counties and one district. It borders Futan town in the East and North, Wenpi Township and Wanhe town in Taihe County in the south, and Yonghe town in Gu'an County across the river in the West.

The main rivers in Shuxia town are Ganjiang River (3 km), Longjiang River (10 km) and Fushui River (10 km). Ganjiang River flows from southwest to northwest from the edge of town, Longjiang river flows from northeast to northwest through market town, and Fushui river flows from southeast to northwest through market town. There are eight small (two) reservoirs and 60 small Shantang reservoirs in the territory. It is also located at the end of Baiyun Mountain canal. Its east branch canal, West Branch Canal, middle branch canal and second branch canal span the whole territory of summer.

History and culture
Since ancient times, Shuxia town has attached great importance to righteousness, education, and culture. Hu Quan, a loyal minister with iron bone, is famous for his article "Wu Shang Gao Zong Feng Shi". From the Tang and Song Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, monuments were erected in ancestral temples for the imperial examinations and the imperial examinations.
Hu Quan's tomb is located in pisong mountain in the north of Tianliang west of Shuxia Town, Qingyuan district. In 1180, Hu Quan died in his hometown, with the posthumous title of "Zhongjian". In memory of him, the people of his hometown buried him on the Bank of the Longjiang River at the foot of Tianliang mountain (next to today's Shouxia middle school in Qingyuan District), so that future generations can always remember and commemorate this famous Minister of the Southern Song Dynasty who was concerned about the country and the people.

Hu Quan (1102-1180), named bangheng and Danan, was born in Xiangcheng, Luling, Jizhou, Southern Song Dynasty. He is a politician and writer in the Southern Song Dynasty and one of the "five loyalties and one festival" in Luling.

Peng Shanfang (1904.2-1982.1) was a native of Pengjia village, Shuxia Town, Ji'an County. He was awarded the rank of senior colonel.

Yang huaizhu (1910-1999) was born in Yangjia village, sijingtang, Wuling county. Former adviser to Naval Logistics. He was promoted to the rank of major general in the navy in 1961.
