Located in the northwest of Changping District, Shisanling town is located between 116 ° 07'43 ″ ~ 116 ° 18'12 ″ E and 40 ° 13'44 ″ ~ 40 ° 22'55 ″ n, bordering Yanshou town and cuicun town in the East, Nanshao Town, Chengbei street and Chengnan street in the south, Nankou town in the west, DAZHUANGKE Township and Jingzhuang town in Yanqing District in the north, covering an area of 157.3 square kilometers .
In March 1950, the Ming Tombs belonged to the first and ninth districts of Changping County. In July 1953, the district was established to govern the township. In March 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged, known as Changling township. In August 1958, it was the people's commune of the Ming Tombs, stationed in Changling village. The township was changed into a work station. In July 1959, the Ming Tombs farm was built, which belongs to Beijing Farm Bureau and is located in Beixin village. In October, the Ming Tombs farm, Changling work station and heishanzhai work station were merged to form the Ming Tombs people's commune (farm), which is located in Changling village. In May 1961, three communes were built, namely, Tai mausoleum, Chang mausoleum and Tai mausoleum. In February 1963, the tailingyuan people's Commune and the Ming Tombs farm were merged into the Ming Tombs people's commune (farm), which was stationed in Huzhuang. In May 1966, tailing commune was merged into Changling commune. In December 1982, the commune was transformed into a township. In December 1997, Changling township was transformed into a town. In September 1998, the Ming Tombs farm was transferred to Changping County and changed to Ming Tombs township. In December 1999, the township was transformed into a town. In September 2011, 22 villages in Changling town were merged into the current jurisdiction. By the end of 2018, Ming Dynasty Tombs had a registered residence population of 27668. As of June 2020, Shisanling town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 38 administrative villages, and the town government is located at No. 2, Taihu Road, Shisanling Town, Changping District.
