Liangshan town
Liangshan Town, subordinate to Yushui District, Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, is located at the southernmost end of Yushui District, adjacent to Shuixi town in the East, Xiajiang County in the south, Jiulongshan Township in the west, Hexia town and Zhushan Town in the north, and 18 kilometers away from the main urban area of Xinyu city. As of August 2018, Liangshan town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, 1 community and 130 natural villages, with a total area of 176 square kilometers and a total population of 46300.
Liangshan Town, known as the "south gate of Xinyu", is a special steel base in Jiangxi Province, one of 11 central towns and 4 demonstration towns in Xinyu City. In Liangshan Town, there are Jixin highway and Xinzhou railway.
In 2017, Liangshan town achieved a total financial revenue of 110 million yuan, with 50 enterprises and 2943 employees, including 28 industrial enterprises and 10 large-scale enterprises.
Historical evolution
During the agrarian revolution, the county Soviet government was established in shangmuyuan and shanghuanghu, and the southern Soviet government was established in zhouyu.
On the eve of liberation, it belonged to TANKOU Township, Shuikou Township and Yangjin Township, the Fifth District.
At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to Yangjin district and had jurisdiction over six townships.
In August 1952, it belonged to Yangjin district and Shuikou district respectively. During the period of cooperation, eight high-level societies, namely, guochezhuang, Xinzhuang, friendship, victory, unity, Shengsheng, Xintian and Queqiao, were established.
In April 1956, it was merged into four townships: Shuikou, zhouyu, Baisha and xialian.
In March 1958, Shuikou, zhouyu, Baisha and xialian were merged into zhouyu, Baisha and xialian; in November, Zhouzi and Baisha were merged to form Zhouzi people's commune.
In September 1960, zhouyu commune merged with Jiulongshan reclamation farm to establish Liangshan reclamation farm.
In November 1962, Liangshan reclamation farm was divided into Liangshan, Baisha and xialian people's communes, Liangshan town and Jiulongshan reclamation farm.
In July 1963, Liangshan town was incorporated into Liangshan people's commune.
In February 1966, xialian, Baisha and Liangshan communes were merged into Baisha people's commune.
In December 1968, Baisha commune was renamed Liangshan commune.
On February 20, 1984, Liangshan people's commune established the people's Government of Liangshan Township through the integration of government and society; on December 20, 1984, the people's Government of Liangshan township was established by withdrawing the township and building the town.

Bashipo ecological farm is located in bashipo, Xiabao village, Liangshan town. It is named after eight interconnected hillsides and ridges. The streams of the eight slopes flow into the depressions at the foot of the mountain and form bashehu lake. Bashehu lake has a total water storage area of more than 40 mu. At the downstream of the Lake, there is a 100 mu orchard with pear, peach, orange, grapefruit, chestnut, walnut, loquat and other fruit trees More than 20 varieties. More than 2000 native chickens were raised in the orchard.
