Relying on its advantages of high mountain climate and no environmental pollution, Baizhu's agricultural and sideline products such as honey, winter bamboo shoots, chestnut, black goat and pepper have occupied a place in the market and become the preferred green food. In 2003, Baizhu was listed as "pollution-free vegetable base of Jiangxi Province". The development orientation of Baizhu is the hometown of eco-tourism, longevity, border trade and high mountain pollution-free vegetables. The developed Baizhu is becoming the "back garden" of Pingxiang and a green pearl of western Jiangxi. After the 21st century, with the completion of national highway 319, Baizhu has ushered in a high-speed development opportunity. Under the leadership of the township party committee and government, the hardworking and simple Baizhu people have made concerted efforts and made pioneering efforts to attract more investment. The township has signed over 100 million yuan. A number of new industries and tourism, such as Runxin Mining Co., Ltd., Julong Mining Co., Ltd. and Bihu power station, are taking shape in Baizhu, injecting new vitality into Baizhu's economic development. the township takes the development of green ecological economy as the main grasp of enriching the people and prospering the township, and puts forward the idea of "protecting a mountain, using a handful of water, developing a line and developing a piece". "Protecting a mountain" means closing the mountain for afforestation, protecting 240000 mu of mountain forest in the township, and protecting nearly 100 Taxus and ginkgo trees over 200 years old. Since 2006, three illegal timber purchasing sites have been banned, 40 cubic meters of illegally felled timber have been confiscated, and three households have been investigated and dealt with. At the same time, we should do a good job in returning farmland to forests and reforming the forestry property rights system, safeguard the rights and interests of forest farmers, and mobilize their enthusiasm for afforestation and forest protection. "Using a handful of water" means developing small hydropower and mineral water. By 2006, there were 9 small hydropower enterprises in the township, with a total installed capacity of 8550 kW and an annual power generation capacity of 50 million kwh. "One line of development" means taking national highway 319 as the main axis to encourage and guide the masses of villages along the line to develop rural tourism, rural leisure, rural catering, courtyard economy and tertiary industry services. "Development of a piece" is to take the three villages in yuanpian as the development focus, and make full use of the traffic advantage of yuanpian near Pingcheng to carry out planning and development. It has been well-known for its unique farmhouse food, which has promoted the vegetable cultivation and leisure agriculture in the region and attracted many tourists. the township also takes attracting investment and talents as the catalyst for the development of green ecological economy to develop and expand green industry.
