In early October 1948, Kunming Municipal Working Committee of Yunnan Province sent Li Peilun, an underground member of the Communist Party of China, to lead Wei Wencai, a member of "Minqing" and Wang Weiren, a member of "new alliance", to Dawen to carry out underground work and organize armed struggle. In February 1949, Li, Wei, Wang, together with PU Shimin and Dao San, patriots of Shuangjiang, organized more than 150 people's armed forces and officially held an armed uprising on 27th, which started Shuangjiang Myanmar In the first shot, the uprising army won the first attack on Desheng township (now Dawen township). On the 28th, the army attacked nanxielong Township in two ways. Because the enemy had not taken precautions, some of them withdrew the circle control and reorganization. During the circle control and reorganization, the local people asked to participate in it. In a short time, the team quickly developed to more than 300 people. Meanwhile, the liaison personnel sent to Jinggu and Lancang were brought back to Shuangjiang uprising department It is reported that the team has been organized as the eighth brigade of the first detachment of Yinan people's self defense army, which has 22, 23 and 24 squadrons. Pu Shimin was the team leader, Wei Wencai was the instructor, and Dao San was the squadron leader of the 23rd squadron. Since then, the army has launched a vigorous underground armed struggle, and participated in the besieged and annihilated battle of Boshan, the defense battle of Myanmar and Ningxia, the battle of xiaobingye, and the battle of three piles. In August 1999, Dawen township was recognized as an old revolutionary base area township by Yunnan provincial Party committee and government due to the uprising of circle control (today's Qianxin).
