Cai Xi Town, which is located in the northwest of Shanghang County, is located in Shanghang County, Longyan City, Fujian province. The Ting River runs through the territory, and the 205 national road runs through the whole territory. The expressway of Yong Wu establishes an interworking port in four square of the four rivers, the total area of the town is 115.37 square kilometers, and the registered residence population is 30284 (in October 2019). Historical evolution

In 1949, Caixi district was established.

History and culture

Cai Xi Town is the famous Central Soviet area the first mock exam area of the old revolutionary base area and the general town. It is also the first model township of the Central Soviet Area during the second revolutionary civil war. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, more than 3400 people of Caixi participated in the Red Army, 962 martyrs were registered, 10 were awarded the rank of major general or above by the people's Republic of China, and 20 cadres at the provincial (Ministry) and prefecture (Division) level, ranking the top in Fujian Province, known as the "Ninth Army and 18th division". Comrade Mao Zedong went to Caixi three times to engage in revolutionary practice. Here he wrote a brilliant book, investigation of Caixi Township, inscribed "Guangrong Pavilion" in his own handwriting and changed his name to "fakeng village". There are eight revolutionary villages in the town.
