The rice planthoppers in the autumn of 1997 reduced the yield of some fields in the township. places of interest: there are few places of interest in Bailian township. It is said that many years ago, Bailian street was east-west. There was a pagoda about two or three feet high in the north and a big pond 200 meters away in the south. In the pond, lotus flowers were in full bloom, fragrance overflowed and the water was clear. Every evening, the reflection of the pagoda appeared in the water. Hence the name of Bailian pagoda. It is said that it has a history of more than 200 years. The pagoda remains, and the Datang has been filled into a street. there is also the legend of "dragon playing in the water". The North Bank of Niujiao river is a large hill slope, which is about 100 meters long from east to west and is circular. The slope is high in the north and low in the south. The distance from the top to the bottom of the slope is about 1000 meters. There is a small hill slope on the East and west sides of the slope, and there is a depression in the south, which is about 300 meters away. From the whole view, the big slope in the middle looks like a dragon head, and the small slopes on both sides look like dragon claws. From a distance, it looks like a giant dragon playing in the river, which has been regarded as a "geomantic treasure land" for generations. Since ancient times, rich and powerful families have been burying their ancestors here in order to prosper their families.
