Historical evolution
In April 1949, the people's Government of Ximeng district was established. Yuesong was subordinate to Ximeng district. In December 1952, after the liberation of the Chinese people, a local ethnic working team was set up. First of all, it carried out work in manheng village and established a working organization. In June 1956, the Preparatory Committee of Wa Autonomous County of Ximeng was established, and Yuesong became a district of the Preparatory Committee of Ximeng, namely YueSong district. In October 1959, with the approval of the people's Committee of Yunnan Province, YueSong district established three township level regimes, namely Yuesong, manheng and ban Shuai. In 1969, YueSong district was changed into Yuesong commune and the system of "unity of government and society" was implemented. Yuesong Township, manheng Township and banshuai Township were changed into Yuesong production brigade, manheng production brigade and banshuai production brigade respectively. In March 1984, the rural system was reformed. Communes were changed into districts and brigades into townships. In February 1988, YueSong district was changed into Yuesong Township, and Yuesong, manheng and banshuai townships were changed into Yuesong, manheng and banshuai villages. in 1999, the village level system reform was carried out, and the three villages were changed into villagers' committees.

Make great efforts to take pig breeding as a major industry to increase farmers' income. The planting of Cunninghamia lanceolata, wax gourd, Betula alnoides, eucalyptus and bamboo is an important way for sustainable development.
