Qugou Town, also known as Quyang Town, belongs to Xiangshan District, Huaibei City, Anhui Province. The town has 14 villages with a total area of 96 square kilometers. General situation

Qugou town belongs to Xiangshan District, Huaibei City, Anhui Province. It is located in the western suburb of Huaibei City, adjacent to Renmin Road in the south, the main peak of Xiangshan Mountain in the north, Suihe River in the East, Henan Province in the west, provincial road 202 and Provincial Road 101. With convenient transportation and obvious location advantages, Qugou town is the west gate of Huaibei City, the back garden of Xiangshan, the main producing area of fruits and vegetables, and the gathering area of industrial projects. In 1999, it was approved as a central town by the provincial government, and in 2003, it was recommended as a provincial key central demonstration town with the approval of the municipal government. In 2006, it was identified as a new rural construction demonstration town in Anhui Province.

In 1950, Fangcheng town was set up. In 1958, it was changed into Dongfeng commune. In 1984, it was rebuilt into township. In 1992, yuanxiangshan Township, vegetable Township and Tulou Township in the north of Suixi County were merged to establish Qugou town. In 1997, with an area of 36 square kilometers and a population of 36000, it has jurisdiction over 17 village committees in Chengcheng, Zhongcheng, Xicheng, Dongzhuang, Renjing, Qugou, Qiaotou, Youfang, Tulou, Dalou, pinglou, Hebei, Dongwang, Xiwang, Tianzhuang, Qianhuang and houhuang. In March 2006, Zhonglou township of Suixi County was incorporated into Qugou town of Xiangshan District, with a population of 71000. It has jurisdiction over loulou, Qugou, Renjing, Dongwang, Xiwang, Youfang, Hebei, Qianhuang, houhuang, Tulou, Qiaotou, Tianzhuang, pinglou, Liuzhuang, Gaoxi, Liulou, chengge, Xiaoji, Zhangdian, lianglou, Zhanglou, Wafang, Xuji, Guowang, Liuyuan, Siqiao, Hezhong, Taoyuan, Mengyuan There are 33 administrative villages in qingzhuang, Qingyang, lvzhuang, Zhangji and Lulou. The former Zhonglou township is located in the northwest of Suixi County, 18 kilometers away from the county seat, bordering Yongcheng city of Henan Province in the West. Suixi Dangshan highway passes through. The bell tower commune was established in 1958, the township was changed in 1983, and Zhangji township was incorporated in 1992. In 1997, with an area of 66 square kilometers and a population of 31000, it has jurisdiction over 13 village committees including Xiaoji, zhangwafang, Qingyang, lianglou, Xuji, Hezhong, Siqiao, Zhangji, Zhanglou, Liulou, Gaoxi, Lulou and Taoyuan. In 2006, it was withdrawn and merged into Qugou town.

Human history

Qugou Town, also known as Quyang Town, is a small town with the longest history in Huaibei City. In the spring and Autumn period, in the 15th year of Duke Huan of Lu (697 BC), the four states of Lu, song, Wei, and Chen met in Quzhou and negotiated to attack the state of Zheng. The place of the alliance is Qugou village of the town. "After the Han Dynasty, Jun Guo Zhi Pei Guo" notes: "Du Yu said: in the southwest of Xiang, a Luo." According to Suzhou annals of the Qing Dynasty, "the place of the alliance or the canal is unknown."

Qugou village is located in the west of Qushui, a tributary of Suihe River (now new Suihe River). It is low-lying and has many ditches. The village is the main road leading to the west of Xiangcheng. Ren Sizhong, the father of Wenshi, donated money to build a three hole big stone bridge on the river to facilitate cross-strait traffic.

In the Jin Dynasty, Qugou was one of the three towns under the jurisdiction of Fuli county (Fuli town and huangtuan town); in the early Yuan Dynasty, after Fuli county was merged into Suzhou, Qugou was one of the four towns in Suzhou. In the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, there were officials in charge of wine tax (see the records of Suzhou), which proved that there was a prosperous wine making industry in ancient times. Dai Guoshi, a native of Nanchang in Ming Dynasty, once said in his poem "Night Mooring Qugou" that "orange Lai doubts Chu Ze and sells wine to read Lisao". From the Jin Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, Qugou was an important commodity market in the area nearby.

In the old days, there was an earthen city with four gates, East, West, North and south. Qiao Lou was on the gate, cross street was in the city, and moats were around the city. There are many historic sites inside and outside the ancient city. It is said that there were 72 temples and 72 wells inside and outside the city, which shows the flourishing of people at that time. In the east of the city, there was a stone horse Pavilion (also called Xiema Pavilion), and in the west, there was an ancient Han Tomb (in the backyard of today's alcohol factory) with an unknown owner. There is Tianma mountain in the north of the city. At the foot of the mountain is the ancestral place of Yin Liuyan in Danyang of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. There is an old stele. Liu is the son-in-law of Sima Shao, the Ming emperor of the Jin Dynasty, and a famous scholar in Qingtan. This is also the former residence of Ren Wenshi, a gongjinshi in Xiangcheng Township in the late Ming Dynasty. His ancestors moved from Shanxi to settle here in the early Ming Dynasty. Between the foot of the mountain and Qushui, there is the tomb of Fu Youde, the founder of the Ming Dynasty and the king of Lijiang. In front of the tomb, there are stone men and stone horses, which were silted up in the early Qing Dynasty. There are "one step seven steles" in the granny temple in the city (today's substation), that is, seven steles stand close to each other, and there are immortal bridges and so on, which have disappeared today.

The economic construction and social development momentum of Qugou town is very strong. In 2007, the total GDP of the town was 5.537 billion yuan, the foreign investment was 130 million yuan, the investment in social fixed assets was 62 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 3404 yuan, an increase of 11% year on year. In 2008, the town realized a total of 710 million yuan of GDP, 300 million yuan of foreign investment, 70.6 million yuan of investment in social fixed assets, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 3925 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15%.

The rural infrastructure construction has been further strengthened, the agricultural industrial structure has been increasingly optimized, and the planting and breeding industries have made great achievements day by day. The industrial project area of Qugou town in Xiangshan district is located in the east of the town. The conceptual planning of 25 square kilometers and the control planning of 11.2 square kilometers of the park have been completed, and the functions and industrial positioning of three parks in one district (Food Industrial Park, channel opening Pioneer Park and power carrying Industrial Park) have been defined. There are more than 2000 mu of usable land in the park, the infrastructure of the park has been gradually improved, and the development of enterprises in the park is also in orderly progress. There are 28 enterprises in the park, with a total agreed investment of 1.2879 billion yuan. Nine enterprises, including Zhongde mine, ruiyue decoration, Liangyou wood, Hongda building materials, have been put into operation, with an annual output value of 406 million yuan. After all the enterprises entering the park are completed and put into operation, it is estimated that the annual output value will reach 4.06 billion yuan, the annual profits and taxes will reach 320 million yuan, and more than 3000 people will be employed.
