Jiulonggang town
Jiulonggang Town, subordinate to Datong District of Huainan City, is located in the east of Huainan City, facing Fengyang County and Dingyuan County in the East, Shungeng mountain in the South and Kongdian Township in the south, Luohe Town, Huainan farm and Huainan Economic and Technological Development Zone in the north, and only 5km away from the City Center in the West. The town covers an area of 33.5 square kilometers (2017) and has a population of 30470 (2017). It governs 8 villages and 4 communities. In 2014, the town completed fixed asset investment of 2.038 billion yuan, the output value of Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size of 845 million yuan, the fiscal revenue of 30.06 million yuan and the per capita net income of farmers of 12136 yuan. The road and railway network is perfect, the transportation is convenient, and the development of industry and "three industries" have obvious regional advantages.
Jiulonggang town has a long history, beautiful scenery and outstanding people. In the early days of liberation, the Huainan Mining Bureau, the Huainan Municipal Party committee and the Huainan Municipal government were all stationed in jiulonggang, so jiulonggang became the birthplace of Huainan Mining Bureau and Huainan City. The building complex of the Republic of China, located in the center of the town and listed as the key cultural relics protection unit in Anhui Province, is the witness of the arduous establishment of Huainan City. In modern Huainan, people call Datong, Tianjiaan and jiulonggang "three towns of Huainan".
At present, jiulonggang town coincides with the major historical opportunities of "integration of Huaihe River and Huaihe River", "Eastward Development" and the construction of Binhu gaotanghu new district. History of coal mining
Jiulonggang town is one of the birthplaces of Huainan coal mine. Jiulonggang coal mine was mined by earth kilns in the 17th century. In March 1930, the Construction Committee of the national government established the Huainan Coal Mine Bureau, which is located in jiulonggang. The next year, jiulonggang East Mine and West Mine of Huainan Coal Mine Bureau were put into operation one after another. In June 1936, the Huainan railway from Tianjiaan to Yuxikou was completed and opened to traffic, and the Huainan Railway Bureau was established in jiulonggang. The coal seams of Shanxi Formation and Hezi formation of Permian are covered by the fourth loess layer. The coal measure strata are pushed by Shungengshan overthrust fault, resulting in the formation inversion. The reserves are 31.95 million tons. There are 14 layers of coal seams, with a mining thickness of 23.6 meters. There are rich gas coal types, with 20% oil content and 5000-7000 kcal / kg heat. They were scrapped in 1982.
Historical evolution
In March 1930, the Construction Committee of the national government established Huainan Coal Mine Bureau, which is located in jiulonggang. The next year, jiulonggang East Mine and West Mine of Huainan Coal Mine Bureau were put into operation one after another.
In June 1936, the Huainan railway from Tianjiaan to Yuxikou was completed and opened to traffic, and the Huainan Railway Bureau was established in jiulonggang. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, jiulonggang was the economic and political center of Huainan City.
When Datong was liberated on January 18, 1949, township governments were set up in Datong and jiulonggang respectively. In November of the same year, it was changed into Datong town and jiulonggang Town, which are subordinate to the administrative office of Huainan mining area.
Jiulonggang district was set up in 1950.
From September 1950 to may 1953, it was under the jurisdiction of Huainan Municipal People's government.
From May 1953 to March 1955, Datong and jiulonggang towns were abolished and Datong and jiulonggang District People's governments were established, directly under the people's Government of Huainan City.
On April 1, 1955, Datong District and jiulonggang district were abolished and merged into Datong District under the jurisdiction of a county-level city. Under the jurisdiction of Datong, jiulonggang two built city and the newly established Xiaying township.
In 1956, the CPC Huainan Municipal Committee and Huainan Mining Bureau moved from jiulonggang to Dongshan.
In June 1957, a sub district office was set up in jiulonggang for the convenience of urban management.
Huaifeng commune was established in 1958.
Huaifeng township was changed in 1960.
In February 1992, Datong District changed its former three townships, two towns and two sub district offices into three towns and one sub district. The former huaifeng Township and jiulonggang sub district offices merged to form a new jiulonggang town. It has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages (Wanglou, WeiZui, Fanggang, Caodian, jiulonggang, Xianong, Chenxiang, Xiacai) and 15 neighborhood committees. According to the official website of the local government, the town had a total population of 31027 and a non-agricultural population of 15727, accounting for 50.7% of the total population. 2 hectares of cultivated land, 424.90 hectares of residential and industrial land, 367.90 hectares of traffic land, 257.0 hectares of water area and 255.2 hectares of unused land.
In 1997, it covers an area of 33.5 square kilometers and has a population of 33000. It has jurisdiction over 15 neighborhood committees and 8 administrative villages including Xiacai, Chenxiang, Xianong, Caodian, Fanggang, WeiZui, jiulonggang and Wanglou.
In 2003, 15 neighborhood committees were merged into 4 communities: Hongqi, Lunan, Jiujie and Chongwen were changed into Hongqi community; huaishun, huailu, Shungeng and zhannan were changed into huaishun community; Chonghua, Xinshi street, hospital and kuangbei were changed into Chonghua community; Xinjian, Qianjin were changed into new community.

At the end of 2011, the total population of jiulonggang town was 31500, including 18000 urban permanent residents, with an urbanization rate of 60%, and 1036 floating population. In the total population, there are 15657 males, accounting for 51.1%, 14943 females, accounting for 48.9%; 4035 persons under 14 years old, accounting for 13.5%; 21479 persons between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 70.1%; 5086 persons over 65 years old, accounting for 16.49%. In the total population, 30 558 people (99.86%) are Han nationality, and 15 people (0.14%) are Hui nationality. In 2011, the birth rate was 11.2 ‰, the death rate was 13.5 ‰, the natural growth rate of population was - 2.3 ‰, and the total area of the town was 35.5 square kilometers.

Landform and climate: jiulonggang town is located in the plain area, which is a shallow depression plain between rivers. The terrain is slightly inclined from southeast to northwest, with an altitude of 20-24m and a relative elevation difference of 4-5m. The terrain between rivers is flat and uneven. It belongs to the transition zone between subtropical zone and temperate zone in the northern hemisphere, with a warm temperate climate. It is characterized by abundant heat, sufficient sunshine, mild climate, moderate rainfall, rainy summer, dry winter, four distinct seasons, significant monsoon and long frost free period. But the interannual precipitation changes greatly and the seasonal distribution is uneven, which is easy to form drought and flood disasters. It is hot and cold in spring and autumn, and the temperature is unstable.

Agriculture
Jiulonggang town has 15520 mu of cultivated land, including 10800 mu of paddy field and 4720 mu of irrigated land, mainly for wheat, rice and vegetables. In 2011, 12000 tons of grain were produced, including 5000 tons of wheat and 11000 tons of rice. The main economic crops were vegetables. In 2011, the vegetable planting area was 8027 mu, with an output of 20000 tons. The main varieties were leafy vegetables, rhizomes, melons, vegetables, eggplants and beans. Among them, there are 4428 tons of leafy vegetables, 5124 tons of rhizomes, 2930 tons of melons and vegetables, 3610 tons of eggplants and fruits, and 1687 tons of beans. Animal husbandry mainly includes pigs, cows and poultry. In 2011, 3408 live pigs were sold, and 1641 were on hand at the end of the year; 3 standardized dairy farms have been established, with more than 1830 cows on hand, among which xinranch has become a provincial demonstration breeding Park. The annual production of poultry is 110000, and the annual total output of meat is 447.3 tons, and the output of eggs is 880 tons.
Industry
The first stage was from 1978 to 1982. Jiulonggang mine is the main pillar industry of the town's economy. There are basically no township enterprises and few commercial service outlets.
The second stage is from 1982 to 1997. After jiulonggang mine was abandoned in 1982, jiulonggang township enterprises developed rapidly. Jiulonggang cement plant and Datong No. 11 well have been built successively, and Datong No. 5 well, No. 1 well, No. 2 well, No. 4 well and No. 8 well have been expanded, forming a development pattern with coal industry as the leader and machinery processing enterprises such as huaifeng machinery plant and red coal powder plant as the backbone. By 1995, there were 9 town run enterprises, 13 village run industries and 17 joint enterprises. In 1995, the total industrial output value reached 136.2 million yuan. There are 250 commercial outlets with an annual retail sales of 170 million yuan.
The third stage is from 1998 to 2005. With the state's macro-control, small coal mines shut down, brick factories shut down, jiulonggang economic income adjustment and transformation period. With the comprehensive treatment of coal mining subsidence area, jiulonggang economy has entered a sustainable development.
In 2011, there were more than 50 industrial enterprises, including 6 new industrial enterprises above designated size. The annual added value of the above designated industrial enterprises was 41.41 million yuan.
In recent years, jiulonggang town of Datong District has accelerated the pace of industrial adjustment, optimized the investment promotion environment and improved the quality of business services, and strengthened the work of investment promotion by combining "going out" with "introducing in". By the end of 2011, 23 projects had been signed, with a project capital of more than 7 billion yuan and a new domestic capital of 966 million yuan. There are 18 projects under construction in the town, including 7 projects with an investment of more than 100 million yuan, including Huainan agricultural products processing, Huainan coal mining machinery, Fuhua Clothing Industrial Park and Huainan pharmaceutical logistics park, which are stepping up the construction; Huainan International Automobile Expo City with a total investment of 3 billion yuan and Huainan International Mall with a total investment of 800 million yuan are also being fully promoted.
