Wangyuan Township
Wangyuan Township, located in the northwest of Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province, is 21 kilometers away from the urban area. It is adjacent to Chongren town in the East, Shihuang town in the south, Zhuxi town in the West and Gulai town in the north.
It is 21 kilometers away from the urban area, covering an area of 31.01 square kilometers (in 2017). It has jurisdiction over four administrative villages, 1961 households and a population of 4870 (in 2017). In 2010, the total GDP of the township was 72.18 million yuan, an increase of 10.5% over the previous year, including 24.18 million yuan for the first industry, 12.02 million yuan for the second industry and 35.98 million yuan for the third industry; the per capita income of farmers was 8058 yuan, an increase of 10% over the previous year.

The township is named after the township government's residence at the south foot of the school mountain. Because the village lies in the north of the school mountain (also known as Caiping mountain), the courtyard is the family courtyard, so it is called the school courtyard. Later, it was simplified, so it was called the royal court. At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to Shuner Township, and Wangyuan township was set up in 1950. In 1956, fenghualing, yangdakeng, Shanwang, zheng'ao, Xietou, Xiaoya in jiulixie Township, Bancheng and peikeng in Zhuxi Township were included, and Meixi was assigned to XuXi township. In 1958, it was the management area of Wangyuan of Beishan commune. In 1961, Wangyuan commune was established, and half of it was assigned to Zhuxi commune. In January 1984, Wangyuan township was established, and Sanxi, xiasanxi, dawanshan, yubalu, wangdongshan and bailing villages were included in Zhenji township. In May 1992, it covers an area of 31.89 square kilometers, with 6404 people in 2066 households, including 82 non-agricultural population. It has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages, 89 villager groups and the township government in Wangyuan village, including Wangyuan, peikeng, Xietou, zheng'ao, Ziyan, Xiaoya, Shanwang, houchapei, jiulipan, shishanping, xishanpei, fenghualing, anyangpei, Liusha, yangdakeng, Jingou, Mingwu, Huaping and shuimenkou. At the end of 2002, it covers an area of 31.89 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages, with 2153 households and 6056 people. At the end of 2005, it covers an area of 31.89 square kilometers and has a population of 5900. It governs 19 administrative villages including Wangyuan, xishanpei, houchapei, zheng'ao, Xietou, shuimenkou, Shanwang, peikeng, jiulipan, jinhou, Xiaoya, Mingwu, fenghualing, Ziyan, anyangpei, shishanping, Liusha, yangdakeng and Huaping. The township government is stationed at 278 Wangyuan village. In 2007, Wangyuan Township changed from 19 administrative villages to 4 administrative villages. 1. Wangyuan Village: it is composed of nine villages: former Wangyuan, zheng'ao, Xietou, Xiaoya, jiulipan, jinhou, anyangpei, Huaping and shuimenkou. A total of 752 households, 2145 people, covering an area of 14.32 square kilometers, the village committee is located in the former Wangyuan village. 2. Fengtianling Village: it is composed of the original fengtianling village, Shanwang village and yangdakeng village. There are 469 households with 1300 people, covering an area of 5.76 square kilometers. The village committee is located in the former fengtianling village. 3. Shishanping Village: it is composed of original shishanping village, Liusha village and Mingwu village. There are 1133 people in 422 households, covering an area of 3.41 square kilometers. The village committee is located in the original shishanping village. 4. Peikeng Village: it is composed of the original peikeng village, Ziyan village, houchapei village and xishanpei village. There are 386 households with 1080 people, covering an area of 8.40 square kilometers. The village committee is located in Ziyan village.
