Jimingyi town
Jimingyi Township, belonging to Huailai County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Huailai County, with xibali town in the East, Zhuolu County across the Yanghe River in the south, Xiahuayuan District in the West and Jiabao Township in Xiahuayuan District in the north. It is 18.5km away from the people's Government of Huailai County, with a total area of 42km2.
In the 12th year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (1219), there was a "station red" (i.e. post station) in jimingyi township; in May 1984, it was changed from jimingyi commune to jimingyi township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Jiming Yi township was 9077. As of June 2020, jimingyi village has six administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the Township People's government is located in jimingyi village.
In jimingyi Township, corn and millet are the main food crops, and pig, sheep, cattle and poultry are the main animal husbandry. In 2018, jimingyi township has 20 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1219, the 12th year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty, Genghis Khan led his troops to the west, and set up a "station red" in jimingyi village.
In 1420, Jiming post was expanded to be the largest post station of Xuanhua mansion entering the capital. There were post office, post warehouse, general office, residence, horse horn and other buildings in the city, as well as theatres and temples.
In July 1953, jimingyi township was set up.
In August 1958, it belonged to the new Baoan commune.
In June 1961, jimingyi commune was set up from xinbaoan commune.
In May 1984, it was changed from jimingyi commune to jimingyi township.
