Lihai Street

Lihai street, belonging to Yuecheng District of Shaoxing City, is the residence of Binhai New Area Management Committee of Zhejiang Province. Historical evolution

Li means flow. In the old days, it was the place where Cao'e River entered the sea, so it was called Lihai. Therefore, it was an important coastal defense area in ancient times. In the Ming Dynasty, the garrison defense station was set up, so it was named Lihai station.

Lihai commune was built in 1958, Xijian township was built in 1983, the town was changed in 1984, and Sanhui township was merged into Lihai town in 1992.
