History of construction

Oil truck port, also known as Chengxi, was originally a small river flowing through chenshidang lake. It is said that during the reign of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, there was an oil tanker workshop set up by Ni family on the Bank of Henan Province, which was well-known and gradually became known as an oil tanker port. Later, due to the rise of agricultural products, aquatic products trade and brick and tile industry, it became a town famous for its port. After the Tang and Song Dynasties, the town area has always belonged to Linrui township (also known as Linrui township) and Chengxi township (also known as Chengxi town) from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. After liberation, Chengxi township was still established. In 1956, some villages (Yangxi Village) originally belonging to Hongdian Township and some villages (fengjiagang village and xujiagang Village) originally belonging to Chiwan Township were merged into Chengxi township. In 1958, Chengxi, Nanhui and Hehua townships merged to form the first commune in the county, Dongfeng commune, which was renamed Nanhui commune in 1959.
