Xinhe Town, subordinate to Xinhe County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of Xinhe County, adjacent to Renli Township in the East, Xiliu Township in the southeast and south, baishen Township in the southwest, West and northwest, Hebei County in Hengshui in the north and northeast. It is 1km away from the people's Government of Xinhe County, with a total area of 57.06km2.

In April 1953, there was Chengguan town in Xinhe Town; in April 1988, Chengguan town was renamed Xinhe Town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in New River town was 44920. As of June 2020, Xinhe Town has 43 administrative villages and the people's Government of Xinhe Town is located in Fuqiang street.

History of construction

In April 1953, Chengguan town was established.

In August 1958, it belonged to Xinsheng commune.

In March 1962, it was established as Chengguan commune.

In March 1984, Chengguan commune was changed into Chengguan Township; in September of the same year, Chengguan Township was changed into Chengguan town.

In April 1988, Chengguan town was renamed Xinhe Town.

In January 1996, Liuhu Township and wangteng Township were merged into Xinhe Town.
