Qiantan town

Qiantan town is located in the northeast of Jiande City, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is in the middle of the golden tourist line of Hangzhou West Lake Fuchun River Xin'anjiang Qiandao Lake Huangshan. It is more than 100 kilometers away from Hangzhou City, about 100 kilometers away from Yiwu City, adjacent to Tonglu County in the North, and the border with Pujiang County in Jinhua City in the northeast.

Fuchunjiang National Forest Park, the first ecological drift in Zhejiang Province, and "Hulu waterfall, qiliyangfan, Zixu wild ferry" in Jiande's "Xin'an ten sceneries" are also located in the town.

In October 2019, Qiantan town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

The administrative area of the town is 386 square kilometers, with 45176 people (in 2017), governing 24 administrative villages and 6 neighborhood committees.

Historical evolution

The town has a long history, as early as the Shang and Zhou dynasties, ancestors engaged in farming and weaving here. Zhuang Libao was set up in 1728, the sixth year of Yongzheng reign in Qing Dynasty, and Qiantan town was built in 1919.

Qiantan district was established in June 1949, and Qiantan people's commune was established in October 1958. Since then, the system of the commune has changed several times. Qiantan township was rebuilt in 1983, Qiantan town was rebuilt in 1985, and Zhifeng township was merged into Qiantan town in April 1992. In October 2001, Anren town was merged into Qiantan town in Jiande City. In April 2005, the former Xiabao Township and Yaocun Township were merged into Qiantan town.

1) The Wulong mountains are magnificent.

Qiantan town is located in the Intermountain basin, and its south is the magnificent Wulong mountain. Wulong mountain is the southeast vein of Yuling mountain, the branch of Tianmu Mountain.
