Ningwei Street

Ningwei street is located in the north of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. It is adjacent to Xinjie street in the East, Beigan street in the south, Xixing street in Binjiang District in the west, Qianjiang farm in the north, Qiantang River in the northwest, and Xiaoshan City in the south. Zhejiang Jiangxi railway, Xiaoyong railway and Shanghai Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway pass through the town. The national Xiaoshan Economic and technological development block land is in its territory. It belongs to the sandy plain of Qiantang River.

Ningwei street has developed social economy and rich people's life. It is the seat of Wanxiang Group, a national enterprise group under the national famous entrepreneur Lu Guanqiu, and ChuanHua group, a Zhejiang provincial enterprise group under the excellent private entrepreneur Xu Guanju. In 2005, its comprehensive economic strength ranked sixth among the top 1000 towns in China and first in Zhejiang.

On July 29, 2020, ningwei street was selected as a national health township (county) in 2019.

Ningwei street is located between the second and third Qianjiang bridges, close to Xiaoshan new urban area, Xinjie town in the East, Binjiang District in the west, Qiantang River in the north, connected with Qianjiang New City in Hangzhou, and 20 km away from Guali City, a small provincial city. Ningwei Street extends to Xinjie street in the East, Beigan street in the south, Binjiang District in the West and Qiantang River in the north, with a total area of 52.85 square kilometers. It governs 7 communities including Zhenning and 15 villages including Xin'an.

The area of the town was originally a plain formed by the siltation of Qiantang River and surrounded by tideland, so it was named ningwei. In 1951, Yingfeng, ningwei Township and Youxia Township were merged. In 1956, Xiaxiang township was abolished and merged into ningwei Township and Yingfeng Township respectively. In 1958, Chengbei commune was merged into Yingfeng and ningwei commune in 1961. In 1969, Yingfeng commune was merged into ningwei commune. In 1971, Yingfeng commune was separated. In 1984, Yingfeng and ningwei Township were merged and renamed ningwei town in May 1992. In 2014, the town was replaced by ningwei street.

Ningwei street is home to Lu Guanqiu, a famous Chinese entrepreneur, Wanxiang Group, a national enterprise group, Xu Guanju, a national outstanding private entrepreneur, and ChuanHua group, a Zhejiang provincial enterprise group. Ningwei is a street that has experienced the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up.

Mainly reflected in three nodes: the first node is the reclamation of agriculture. Ningwei has a short history of more than one hundred years. It was originally formed by silting up the Qiantang River and reclaiming it. It is named ningwei because its dike is not peaceful. Ningwei is also the origin of Xiaoshan seedlings. The second node is reform and industrialization. In the early stage of reform and opening up, township enterprises represented by Wanxiang Group flourished. After the reform, private enterprises represented by ChuanHua group thrived. In 2005, ningwei won the title of "the first town in Zhejiang". The third node is the urbanization of Yongjiang. As we all know, the main venue of Hangzhou G20 summit in 2016 is within the scope of ningwei. The Asian Games Village of the 2022 Asian Games under comprehensive construction is within the scope of ningwei. As an important platform for the construction of Zhejiang Dawan District, Wanxiang innovation energy gathering city is also within the scope of ningwei.

Ningwei is a street enjoying the dividend of system reform.

In 1992, ningwei Township and Yingfeng Township were merged and renamed ningwei town. In 2003, the district Party committee and the district government set up a leading group for the development and construction of Qianjiang century city. Later, the century city was changed into a permanent organization and renamed as the management committee. In 2005, Qianjiang Century City and ningwei town realized the integration of towns, that is, Qianjiang Century City and ningwei town. In 2014, the town was removed and the street was set up. In 2015, the system was set up separately. In 2017, the system was adjusted again. At present, the west area of the street is 22.27 square kilometers, with Qianjiang Century City as the land making and development main body, and the east area is with Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone as the land making and development main body. Every system adjustment provides a strong guarantee for the rapid development of ningwei.

Ningwei is a street which has been expropriated for many years.

Whether the land requisition and transfer of Qianjiang Century City started in 2006 to make room for the development and construction of the Century City, or the land requisition and transfer of several times in the street area to accelerate the construction of key infrastructure such as high-speed railway, Airport City Avenue and South connecting line of Jiubao bridge, all these have laid a solid foundation for the realization of "global urbanization". After 12 years of land requisition and relocation, there are nearly 17000 households, over 4500 enterprises and operators, and nearly 40000 mu of land has been transferred. In 2015, around 41 summit projects and the improvement of surrounding environment, 10400 mu of land was cleared and handed over; in 2017, around the supporting construction of Asian Games Village and key Asian Games projects and the improvement of surrounding environment, 10260 mu of land was handed over. So far, all land within the planning scope of century city has been cleared and handed over a complete Qianjiang century city. As the bridgehead of "global urbanization", the street earnestly promotes the transformation of urban villages in accordance with the requirements of the three-year action plan of the district government. In 2017, the remaining four villages in the century city will be cleared, the 11 year process of the Century City area will be ended, and the transformation of four villages in the city in Shibei District will be completed. In 2018, we will complete the reconstruction of urban villages in Ningxin village, Ningmu village and Xin'an village and the land acquisition and relocation of "22688" key traffic project blocks. Up to now, the remaining four villages (communities) in Ningan community, Xinhua Village, Erqiao village and shunba village have not been relocated, involving about 3500 farmers.

Ningwei street is located in the north gate of Xiaoshan District, adjacent to Binjiang District in the west, Qiantang River in the north and Qianjiang new town across the river, covering an area of 52.85 square kilometers, of which Qiantang River is 10.08 kilometers long, with two tunnels and two bridges crossing the river. It has 25 villages (communities), more than 60 thousand of the registered residence population, and a population of over 310 thousand.

In 2006, Qianjiang Century City Management Committee was established, which governs Jiajing community, Yingyi village, Yinger village, Fenger village, Fengbei village, Liyi village, lier village, Hefeng village, Fengdong village and Xinzhong village.

The Qianjiang Century City police station will be established in 2018. The rural residents of the above nine villages and one community will still be under the jurisdiction of ningwei Street police station, while the urban residents will be under the jurisdiction of Qianjiang Century City police station.

At the end of February, 2019, Jinchang Chunhe Qiantang, SHUNFA Meiya Meicheng and Vanke shijizhiguang were designated as Meiya community. In the next month of the same year, country garden Longyue in Hefeng village was designated as Meiya community. So far, the new community has four communities under its jurisdiction.

In 2004, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the whole town was 35.04 billion yuan, the profits and taxes were 2.4 billion yuan, the export delivery value was 6.296 billion yuan, the industrial added value was 3.336 billion yuan, the fiscal revenue was 410 million yuan, and the per capita income of farmers was 13677 yuan, which continued to maintain the leading position in Hangzhou. In the list of top 100 towns in Zhejiang Province in 2003 released by the rural social and economic survey team of Zhejiang Province, ningwei town is the second. It has formed a new pattern with industry as the main body and all-round development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries.

Ningwei street is one of the top 100 towns in Zhejiang Province and one of the top 10 towns in Hangzhou. In industry, five major industries have been formed, including mechanical hardware, chemical printing and dyeing, textile clothing, building decoration and telecommunication logistics. It has national high-quality products - "Qianchao brand" cross universal joint and "ChuanHua brand" super washing powder, which is famous in China.
