Gaogu town
Gaogu Town, belonging to Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the west of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, with Hanjia street in the East, indishui street in the south, Huangcao town of Wulong District in the west, Luming Township in the north and Ping'an town in the northeast. It is 18 kilometers away from the government of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, with a total area of 116.4 square kilometers.
In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Gaogu township was established from Luming township; in February 1999, Gaogu township was changed into Gaogu town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Gao Gu was 19257. As of June 2020, Gaogu town has two communities and six administrative villages, and the people's Government of Gaogu town is stationed in zhuanyuanzi.

History of construction
In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Gaogu township was set up from Luming township. In the summer of 1935, it was changed to Gaogu Township, belonging to the second district. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), Lianbao was changed to township and Gaogu township was restored. In April 1949, it returned to the second district.
In March 1951, Xiatang township was set up in the east of Gaogu township.
In January 1953, Gonghe township was set up in the west of Gaogu township.
In January 1958, Gaogu township was changed into Gaogu commune.
In January 1984, Gaogu commune was changed into Gaogu township.
In February 1999, Gaogu township was changed from township to town.
In May 2001, Gonghe township was merged into Gaogu town.

In 2011, Gaogu town has jurisdiction over Shizi and Chenjia communities, Daqingshan, pangxi, Xinglong, Qunfeng, Gonghe and Tonggu administrative villages, 20 resident groups and 36 villager groups.
