Yu Tianxi

Yu Tianxi (1180-1241), the word Chunfu (or pure father), is called weizhai. He was born in Changguo (now Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province) of Qingyuan Prefecture, an official of the Southern Song Dynasty. He served as a counselor of politics and Privy Council, and played an important role in supporting Zhao Yun.

Life of the characters

Yu Tianxi (1180-1241), the word Chunfu (or pure father), is called weizhai. Qingyuan Fu Changguo (now Zhoushan, Zhejiang) people. His grandfather Yu Di was a teacher in Changguo county. He was tired of official knowledge and granted the title of Duke of Fenghua. He became a scholar of Guanwen palace and was named Zhonghui after his death.

He donated his salary to set up Hongqiao Academy in his hometown to enroll the poor children, set up a granary to help the poor families of the same clan, and built Dayu bridge and Xiaoyu bridge with his younger brother Tianren, which is convenient for pedestrians. He died in 1241, the first year of Chunyou. His younger brother Tianren was the Minister of the Ministry of war, and his mother Zhu was the wife of Zhou and Chu.
