Character evaluation
Ming Zan's seal cutting seems to have a naturalistic tendency. He seems to show a kind of casual feeling that wherever the knife goes, whether it's crooked or straight, whether it's right or not, he doesn't care: the result of this treatment is that the breath is very good, we don't encourage efforts to be strong, but the defect is that we have a rough feeling after all. After all, it's difficult for us to cut every seal in a naturalistic way just right. There is no doubt that mingzan worships simplicity and old style. --- Xu Zhenglian * natural and unconventional, freehand, this is decided by temperament. Ming Zan, formerly known as Zhang Yongqiang, was born in 1963 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. Ming Zan's seal has Zen flavor, relaxed and natural, "leisure" charm is particularly strong, which is not available to all contemporary seal makers, so I chose him. He looks like a "rough man" on the outside, but he has a good mind and a lot of reading. The edge style is not only scholarly, but also wonderful. His seal should be tasted carefully in order to taste. If you have a chance to see the original stone he carved, it will greatly surprise you. It's very shallow! --- Shikai
