Dai Sheng
Dai Sheng, with an unknown year of birth and death, was born in Dangshan County, Liang state (now Dangshan County, Anhui Province), and later settled in Chiqiu, Wei county (now beixiangyi, Cheng'an County, Handan City, Hebei Province). In the Western Han Dynasty, officials, scholars, scholars of rites, and pioneers of the study of the Confucian classics of the Han Dynasty. Later generations called it "xiaodai".
Dai Sheng and his uncle, Dai De, once studied Li with Cang later, and they were collectively called "big and small Dai" by later generations. During the reign of Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty, Dr. Dai Shengyi participated in the discussion of Shiquge, and became the official of Jiujiang Prefecture.
The book of rites is one of the classic works of Confucianism, that is, the book of rites of xiaodai, which was handed down as a saint. According to Hanshu, it was written in the seventh year of the founding of the Han Dynasty (80 years).
In the third year of Xianchun (1267), Zhao Zhen, the emperor of Song Dynasty, was granted the title of "kaochengbo" by his native place.
Life experience
Dai Sheng was the 23rd grandson of song Daigong, the monarch of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. In his early years, Dai Sheng and his uncle, Dai De, devoted themselves to the study of rites, and achieved remarkable achievements with high prestige in the government and the public. However, as a representative of the study of rites, Dai Sheng was a little proud of himself and did something beyond the law from time to time. Because of Dai Sheng's fame and status, the former assassin turned a blind eye to Dai Sheng's misconduct, and Dai Sheng became accustomed to it and became more and more serious.
Later, Dai Sheng took the post of Jiujiang prefect, and he Wu took the post of Yangzhou governor. He Wu, in accordance with the terms of reference, unreservedly supervises Dai Sheng's misconduct. Dai Shenggen didn't pay attention to the young man he Wu. He Wu secretly sent people to verify his crime clearly, and then "revealed" to him, that is, deliberately revealed the evidence to him. Dai Sheng knew that his misconduct was controlled by he Wu and hated him even more. Although he Wu didn't report Dai Sheng, Dai Sheng worried that he Wu would report himself, so he resigned and went to Beijing to become a doctor. After he arrived in the capital, Dai Sheng still hated he Wu and lost no time to spread some bad words about he Wu in the imperial court.
Soon after, Dai Sheng's son's guests colluded with the Greenwood robbers to rob. His son was implicated in prison, captured by the government and detained in Lujiang. It was he Wu who dealt with this case. It's really a narrow road. Dai Sheng thinks that he will get revenge if he slanders he Wu, and his son will surely be sentenced to death. However, the result of the case was beyond Dai Sheng's expectation. He Wu didn't care about his personal grievances at all. He dealt with the criminals who participated in the case fairly and acquitted Dai Sheng's son who didn't participate in the case. Therefore, Dai Sheng admired he Wu's clear-cut love hate and fair justice. As long as he Wu goes to the capital, he will visit him sincerely.
Main achievements
Achievements of Confucianism
Dai Sheng mainly studied Confucian classics in his whole life. He, together with his uncle, Dai de and Qingpu, once studied the classics master Hou Cang and devoted himself to the study of Li. His achievements were outstanding. In history, Dai de was called "Da Dai", Dai Sheng was called "Xiao Dai", and they were collectively called "Da Dai" and "Xiao Dai". "The reason is that the book of Rites has the learning of Dadai, xiaodai and Qingshi.".
From the Warring States period to the early Han Dynasty, Dai Sheng compiled all kinds of works about etiquette recorded by Confucius' disciples and their retransmission and three biography disciples into a book, which is called Xiao Dai Ji or Xiao Dai Li Ji. The book was originally a collection of materials to explain Yili. Later, it was annotated by Zheng Xuan and became an independent book instead of being subordinate to Yili. Compared with the red tape in Yili, its essence is more conducive to the maintenance of feudal rule. Therefore, Dai Sheng created "Xiao Dai Xue".
Academic influence
Dai Sheng meticulously taught "the study of Rites" and taught many apprentices. He was once said to have learned from Liang Renqiao Ren, Yang Rong and so on. Therefore, the "little Dai's study" of rites in Jinwen also had "the study of Qiao and Yang". Xiaodai has made some contributions to the spread and development of the study of Li. Xiaodai's book of Li is listed as one of the Confucian classics and one of the "Three Li". It was called "Da Jing" in the Tang Dynasty, and replaced Yili as the "Li" in the "five Jing" in the Ming Dynasty. The book occupies an important position in the history of Chinese Confucianism and provides important information for later generations to study and develop Confucianism.
