Yingbaoshi (1821-1890) was named minzhai. He was born in Yongkang, Zhejiang Province, and was born in 1845.
brief introduction
When the Taiping army attacked Shanghai in 1862, it worked with the local gentry as an alternate prefect to set up a joint defense bureau to raise money for Li Hongzhang and the Huai army. From February to July of 1864, he acted as the deputy governor of Songjiang for Shanghai Daotai. On May 1, he accepted the advice of British Consul Bashari and set up the Yamen of the north head of the pidgin. He sent a member of the Yamen to the British Consulate, and the British Deputy Consul served as the jury officer to jointly hear the cases involving Chinese in the British concession. In September 1865, he acted as the director of Shanghai Daotai. Soon after taking office, he refused the request of Songhu railway company to build Songhu railway. In November, he discussed with British and American consuls to draw up the articles of association on the system of hard labor. In 1867, it purchased the abandoned foundation of Li's garden in the west of Nanyuan, prepared to build lecture halls, building outlines and houses, and expanded the Longmen academy originally located in Nanyuan. During his term of office, he also negotiated with consuls of Britain, the United States and other countries the constitution of the joint trial of officials in the Pidgin, which came into effect on April 20, 1869. Accordingly, the Yamen of the north head of the Pidgin was reorganized into the joint trial office.

In the fourth year of tongzhi (1865), he established Longmen academy and trained many posterity. He was good at painting flowers and had a large collection of books. When Ding Richang took over his post, he sent him to Yu Songnian's home to read books. "He took more than 50 copies of the song and Yuan Dynasty manuscripts from the shelves, and made the officials and Knights of the wood take charge of them. Naturally, these books were obtained by him. Later, Yu Songnian's "yijiatang" collection was mostly purchased by the Ding family. After its collection was scattered, Zhejiang Library acquired more than 20 kinds of books. There are "Xiuzhi hall" and "shediao hall" in the library. The books are printed with "minzhai", "yingyinbaoshi" and "yingshijiacang". He is in charge of compiling the annals of Shanghai county, and has written "shediao Ci" and "shediao Guan Ji".
