Zhang Boyu
Zhang Boyu (1003 ~ 1068), whose name is Gongda, was born in Jian'an (now Jian'ou county). In the second year of Tiansheng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1024), he became a Jinshi. Later, he published a book to judge diocesan. In the first year of Qingli (1041), he became a professor of county studies in Wujun, and then took Secretary Cheng as taiguling. He loved the people, worked hard and prospered water conservancy. In 1044, Fan Zhongyan was recommended to the imperial court for his daring to speak of the Qing Festival. In the first year of Huangyou (1049), he served as an official censor. At that time, Chen Zhizhong was the prime minister, and Boyu said, "the world has not been ruled, so there is no real prime minister." Therefore, he offended Chen Zhizhong and became known as Taiping prefecture (now Dangtu County, Anhui Province). Emperor Renzong regretted Boyu and gave him 50000 yuan before he left Beijing. From 1054 to 1056, Boyu was appointed Deputy Governor of Yanzhou. Jiayou eight years (1063), to the degree of zhilang know Yuezhou (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). Boyu made great achievements in education. In the second year of Zhiping (1065), Boyu moved to Fuzhou, where he ordered his family to dredge the ditch seven feet and plant banyan trees. A few years later, "the city is covered with green shade, but the summer is not covered," and Boyu is famous for planting banyan. Boyu was learned and knowledgeable, and Zeng Gong was impressed by his articles. He is fond of wine and poetry, and is known as "Zhang baibei" and "Zhang Baipian". At the end of the day, the official inspects the school and the Secretary seals the doctor. He has written two volumes of Penglai poetry, which has been lost.

Zhang Boyu (1003 ~ 1070), whose name is Gongda, was born in Jian'an (now Jian'ou), Fujian Province, and an official of the Northern Song Dynasty. In his early years, he was promoted to be a scholar, and then to be a scholar. At the beginning of Renzong Qingli's reign, Fan Zhongyan recommended Ying Xianliang and Fang Zhengneng to speak frankly (fan Wenzheng Ji, Volume 18, interest Zhang Boyu should make Keyuan). When he was 30 years old, he moved to Fuzhou, then to Yuezhou and muzhou. There are two volumes of Penglai collection (Volume 18 of Jianning Fu Zhi by Jiajing of Ming Dynasty), which have been lost.
Zhang Boyu is not only adept at official administration, but also good at literature. Zhang Boyu's poems are compiled into two volumes according to Yan Ling Ji and Kuaiji Duoying Zongji.
During Zhang Boyu's term of office, he called on the people to plant banyan trees according to their families. In Fuzhou, there was a scene of "green shade all over the city, but no cover in summer". So Fuzhou is also called Rongcheng.
Life story
Zhang Boyu was born in Jian'an (now Jian'ou) of Fujian Province in 1003, the sixth year of emperor Zhenzong of Song Dynasty. Renzong Tiansheng two years (1024) ascended Jinshi, and later published a book to judge diocesan division. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty (about 1041), he became a professor of county studies in Wujun. After Hu Yuan, Wang Feng, and Zhang Chu, he presided over Confucianism, which further developed the scale of the past. Many scholars were taught by him and practiced wisely. They continued to ascend the rank of science. Later, he became a secretary of Taigu County. He worked hard and loved the people, promoted water conservancy and did many good things.
In 1044, Fan Zhongyan recommended to the imperial court that he should be virtuous and upright, and that he could admonish the imperial court; in the sixth year, he was elected by Ying Yizhong. Huang Youchu (1049) served as an official censor. At this time, Chen Zhizhong was the prime minister, and Boyu said frankly, "the world has not been ruled, so there is no real prime minister." Therefore, he offended Zhizhong and knew Taiping Prefecture. Emperor Renzong regretted him and sent his secret envoy Xiao Huangmen to express his consolation and said, "I have no worries when I hear that Qing is ill. I should dress for him." The next day, Zhongzhi third division awarded 50000 silver. Zhizhong thought that there was no precedent and insisted on it. In the end, Renzong gave it to Zhang Boyu, which shows that he was highly valued.
Zhang Boyu is not only adept at official administration, but also good at literature. At that time, zenggong, the prefectural governor, was very disappointed. He also felt that the article was OK. Boyu ordered him to write several drafts of Liujing Ge Ji, but Boyu was not satisfied, so he had to write by himself. At the beginning of a few sentences, he said: "the people of the six classics pavilion are all here, and they don't respect the classics." At this time, Zeng Gong was greatly impressed.
During the reign of Renzong to he (1054-1055), Zhang Boyu was appointed Deputy Governor of Yanzhou. Jiayou eight years (1063) in April, to spend Zhi doctor know Yue State. Yuezhou is a big state, so the task of cultivating talents is particularly urgent. At first, the school was built in the appointed place, then Shen Fu continued, and finally Zhang Min completed it. Zhang Boyu went to Yuezhou before Shen Houzhang. Although he couldn't catch up with the completion of the project, he made great achievements in his two-year term of office. In 1065, Zhang Boyu moved to Fuzhou. Fuzhou is located in the south. It is very hot in summer. Many people get sick from heatstroke. After he took office, after investigation, he ordered households to plant banyan. After Xining, Fuzhou was full of green and overcast, and there was no cover in the summer, so pedestrians felt virtuous about him. So far, there is a statue of Zhang Boyu in Xihe park outside the west gate of Fuzhou.
Zhang Boyu is learned and knowledgeable. He is good at drinking poems. He often drinks hundreds of cups and writes hundreds of poems, so he is called "Zhang baibei". Some people also call him "Zhang Baipian". There was a scholar who heard his name and wanted to compete with him. He went to see Zhang Boyu with a book. Zhang Boyu said happily, "if you have heard a lot of evils, you can drink against me. I am old and have no right for a long time. I don't want you to insult me." He ordered wine to be prepared to drink with him. There were countless cheers back and forth. The scholar spoke eloquently. If he wanted to defeat Zhang Boyu, he didn't care. After a while, the scholar was too strong to drink, but he stood up and drank dozens of times, as if he had never drunk. The scholar thought he couldn't beat him and wanted to resign. Zhang Boyu stopped him and said, "there are only four cabinets of books in my room. If you want to take any book and give a sentence, you should recite it for your son." The scholar did as he said, and Zhang Boyu recited it immediately without any mistakes. His Expo memory has reached such a level.
During the reign of Zhiping (1064-1067), Zheng Yu once recommended Zhang Boyu to the emperor to replace him in making letters, but it was not approved by the emperor. Zhang Boyu finally went to be a doctor. Shen Zong died in 1070, nearly 70 years old, and wrote two volumes of Penglai collection.
