Zhang is good at poetry and Fu. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Yang Yi collected two poems in his collection of songs for the West. Therefore, he is generally called a poet of western style, but there are many poems in his collection which are not in the same tone as those of western style. "Tiaoxi yuyinconghua" quoted endless residents to say that his "peaches can't be covered, and the snow can't be released to teach youth" ("titingzhu") and other sentences, "the sentence is clear and the CI is ancient, which is in sequence with (MEng) suburb and (JIA) island.". "Song Shichao" praises his poem "vigorous and ancient, light and energetic", and cites the couplet "send words to nest by Mo Xiangxiao, this heart is not love light and fat" in "Ji Fu Yi Ren", which shows his ambition. "Xiao Xiao sparse reed on the wall, see that the new autumn taste long. Why did you throw it to the emperor's place? So far, my soul dreams around Qiantang. "It can also be seen that his poems are elegant and indifferent. One piece of Shengfu written by Liang Zhouhan is deep and ethereal, but without the state of carving out chapters and sentences. Liang Zhouhan sighed that "this work has not been seen in a hundred years" (General Catalogue of Sikuquanshu). Zhang's works are preserved in 12 volumes of guaiya collection and Appendix 1. There are "xuguyi series".
