Zhou Xie, also known as Yanzu, was born in an'cheng of Runan in the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was cited as filial, honest and virtuous. It was a moral model of self-reliance, scrupulous adherence to Confucianism and courtesy, and being happy with Yan Yuan's way.
