Wu Guanyu, an official of the Qing Dynasty, was born in Zhejiang, China. Wu Guanyu, who was born as a Jinshi, succeeded Wang Li in 1720 (in the 59th year of Kangxi) and became the county magistrate of Taiwan.
It has jurisdiction over the whole territory of Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Tainan County and Kaohsiung County in southern Taiwan. With an area of 4500 square kilometers, it was also the place where the Han people concentrated during the Qing Dynasty.
In 1721, Zhu Yigui's civil uprising broke out in Taiwan. Wu Guanyu, who had emigrated to China, was arrested and tried by Jueluo manbao, Shi Shipu and other officials for abandoning the city and failing to manage affairs. Before long, it was sent to Taiwan for Zhengfa.
