Lu Nan (1507-1560) was born in Chengguan town of Xunxian county. He is a famous writer in Ming Dynasty. He died in the third year of Longqing (1569). His family was rich in agriculture and industry. Nanshao is sensitive to negative ability, knowledgeable and strong in memory. He has read books again and again, and never forgets them all his life. The father's fee provides for his admission to the college. Nanhao wrote thousands of ancient words. Because his article does not stick to the old rules, he failed in many tests. If you live in the country, you will not succeed. His temperament is bold and unconstrained, and he is a heavy drinker. He often drinks too much and scolds others. Lu Nan was wrongly imprisoned for ten years for disobeying the county magistrate. One day in the 21th year of Jiajing (1542), Lu invited the magistrate to his home. In the evening, the magistrate did not arrive. Lu Nan drinks in anger and lies drunk. When the county magistrate came, Lu did not greet him with courtesy. From then on, the magistrate hated Lu. Another person took the opportunity to fiddle with the county magistrate, saying that Lu Nan regarded the article of the county magistrate as rubbish, and the county magistrate hated Lu even more and insisted on seeking revenge. That year, a servant of the Lu family died unexpectedly after being reprimanded. The county magistrate takes the opportunity to frame Lu Nan and instigate his family to falsely accuse Lu Nan of death for no reason. The county magistrate encouraged the prison officials to carry out severe punishment at night, causing Lu Nan's buttock and heel to fester. Soon after, the Lu family was robbed by bandits, the house was burned, his father was forced to die, and his family was destroyed. Lu Nan stood up against the wall in prison. He was extremely resentful, so he read his books and wrote Youju Fu, fangzhao Fu and many poems to vent his anger. Xie Zhen, Lu's good friend (one of the late seven writers in Ming Dynasty), went to Beijing to save Lu Nan, but failed. In 1549, after Lu Guangzu was appointed magistrate of Jun County, Xie Zhen detailed Chen Lu's grievance, and the case was cleared. Jiajing was released from prison in 30 years. After Lu Nan got out of prison, he went to Zhangde (now Anyang) to thank Xie Zhen. He happened to meet Xie as a guest at the Zhaokang family. The king of Kang and famous local officials heard about Lu's name for a long time, and they vied for hospitality. Lu was as addicted to wine as ever. After Lu Guangzu was promoted to minister of rites in Nanjing, Lu went to visit and took the opportunity to travel all over the famous mountains and rivers in the south of the Yangtze River. After returning to Junxian County, he often wrote Fu by means of wine. Longqing three years (1569) died of depression. One year before Lu died, his wife died first. There are three daughters, one of whom is more than 20. Lu Nan is the author of five volumes of the collection of Chinese midges, which has been handed down in block printed edition. The poems and Fu collected in the collection are highly praised by Wang Shizhen, a famous Ming literary scholar, opera theorist and the chief General of the seven gifted scholars of Jiajing, who said that his poems and Fu "are full of genuine Qi and do not follow the trend of the seven gifted scholars". Wan Gong (Shaoqing of Guanglu temple in Nanjing) praised his poems as "intense and pathetic, with the style of ancient pre Qin and Han strategists". The biography of Lu Nan is recorded in the 287 volume of Ming history.
